"Did I say that out loud?"

Lenas POV: I run down the stairs leaving Ethan stranded in my room all alone. When I'm on the second to last step my feet decide that it's a nice time to stop working. I brace myself for the fall and the soon to be headache. Just before I hit the ground a pair of arms wrap themselves around me. The arms pull me up slowly. As I'm being pulled up I thank God for my rescue.

When I'm upright and steady I look behind me to see if the mystery arms belong to the person I long for. They don't. They belong to Grayson, who I thought was downstairs.

"Thanks Gray...." I say a little disappointed in the fact that my rescuer is indeed Grayson and not the other twin.

"You're welcome." He said with a quick laugh. As I was about to continue down the stairs Grayson, jumped in front of me in one swift movement. I took a step very carefully and followed Grayson to the kitchen. When I walked through the door that lead to the kitchen I was greeted by a warm, delicious smell. The door slammed shut behind me earning the attention of Lisa and Grayson.

"Sorry..." I say apologizing for my disruption.

"Oh it's fine honey. Do you mind setting the table for me? The dining room is just over in that room there." Lisa said pointing to a room on the left.

"Oh yea, sure." I say.

"Grayson why don't you help your sister out." Lisa says putting emphasis on the word sister. That word sister feels weird to hear let alone say, which I've only done once. Grayson doesn't say anything in response, instead he just give a little nod.

Grayson walks over to a cabinet that I see contains glass plates when he opens it. Me on the other hand have to go through at least three cabinets to find cups. It's a miracle when I finally do. Before I grab the cups I have to think about how many to get. I start thinking of the people that are in the house and for every person I put one finger up.

me. One finger.

Ethan. Three

Grayson. Another one.

Cameron. Four

Sean and Lisa. Five, six.

I grab the cups and head into the room that Lisa pointed out to me. Grayson is already half way through with his job when I walk in. I quickly start putting a cup by each plate to catch up. Grayson finishes a few seconds before me and heads into the kitchen. A split second later he is back with forks, knives, and spoons.

Grayson starts putting the silverware down by each plate. In the process he doesn't say a word to me. He doesn't even look up from his work. When he does look up at me he rolls his eyes making me look down.

What's wrong with him? Did I do something to upset him? Are both of the twins going to be avoiding me now?

Heavy footsteps hitting the stairs rips me right out of my thoughts. My head whips around toward the stairs and that's where my attention stays for the next four seconds or so. I'm not surprised when I see who the heavy feet belong to.

"Are you trying to sound like a herd of Elephants or are you just naturally that loud?" I ask sarcastically.

"A little of both." Ethan says with a smile. At least we're doing good so far.

"I think he's just fat." Grayson says bouncing off of both of out comments.

For the first time today a genuine laugh slips through my lips. I'm honestly surprised with myself and to think that it was a simple comment like that. That little remark put a crack in my wall big enough for me to have a laugh slip out. My giggles earn a big smile from both Ethan and Grayson.
