Chapter 21

"I can't believe we're leaving. I love Colorado, even if we were there for two days," I pouted.

"I'm sure we'll be back very soon." Hunter reassured me.

"But I miss Nanna, Dawn and Daphne already," I whined.

"They're going to the wedding, remember?"

I shyly nodded, "fine. But aren't they too old to be flower girls?"

"Yeah, so?" He shrugged.

Guys, I rolled my eyes. To them, the tiniest detail would never matter. I mean, it would look bad if I had a thirty year old as my flower girl, come to think of it.. gross.

"You should get some sleep, so when we get there you won't look like you didn't go to a holiday at all." Hunter suggested. "Plus, your parents might tell me how a suckish husband I'll be."

"You talk too much," I yawned. "Can you just shut up and sleep next to me?"

I gave him my best puppy dog eyes and he sighed in defeat, leaning in closer to me. I promptly put my head on his shoulder, and closed my eyes. He placed his head gently on m,ine and the next thing I knew, I was out like a light.

"We're going to land in a few minutes," a stewardess said gently to us, while poking my arm.

I shifted uncomfortably in my seat and nudged Hunter awake. He was adorable with his I-just-woke-up face. His hair was all messed up in a sexy way and his eyes were sorta drooping. I buckled myself in, and forgot to tell Hunter that we were landing. So when we were about to land, he did a face plant on the seat in front of us. Since we were riding his private jet, it wasn't exactly a seat, it was a couch. His whole body flew, like literally, on the other couch and did a face plant on it, then when we fully landed he rolled down on the floor.

"Oh my goodness," I said a few minutes later. "Are you okay?!"

"You have one heck of a late reaction." He grumbled. "I feel mighty fine, too. I just face planted in front of you looking like a complete fool of myself."

"Aww, Hunter. I don't really care. Now how's your face?" I asked.

"It hurts right here," he pointed at his right cheek.

I gave him a kiss there and his whole face lit up.

"I knew they're in the honeymoon phase!" My mom cried happily.

"They look so adorable, like when they were fighting back when they were seven." Kristine agreed.

I rolled my eyes at their giddiness. "Hello, moms. Nice to see you again," I said in monotone.

"Did you heard that?! She called me mom!" Kristine squealed.

Our dads came to view and I pointed at their wives, they knew what to do. They pulled them back, giving us little space and told their wives to back off a little. I looked back at Hunter, who was currently sitting on the same couch he face planted in, falling asleep.

"Hey, we're here. You seriously need to get up, how can you fall asleep with the wake up call you just had?" I laughed.

"Yeah, yeah." He stood up and followed me out of the jet.

We piled into the car our parents brought with them. And soon, they were talking about someone.

"Honey, you're so gonna be excited." mom said.

"Why?"

"Someone's waiting back in the manor!"

"Who?"

"You'll see," she mysteriously said.

By the time we reached the manor, Hunter was wide awake and was playing some game on his phone.

"We're here!" My mom sang happily and clapped her hands as we went out.

It was nice to be back and see the manor again, but a part of me wanted to be in Colorado. Which remind me, my parents still haven't noticed the gigantic diamond ring on my finger.

"Where's my granddaughter?" A melodic voice asked from above me.

As I looked up, I gasped. My grandmother, who lived all the way in England and who barely went to America, was standing at the very middle of the right wing straircase. Holy shit.

"Grandmother? Oh my goodness." I felt Hunter stiffen right next to me when he finally snapped out of his game and looked up.

"Well?" She asked with thick British accent, "Aren't you going to give me a hug?"

I ran up the stairs and hugged her. I haven't seen her in years! The last time I actually saw her was when I was sixteen, for my sweet sixteenth birthday she hosted for me.

"I'm sorry I missed you birthday, dear. I was quite busy with the palace." She explained.

"It's okay," I said.

If there was one thing to know about my English grandmother, she didn't like slang words. If you talked to her, talk properly like an educated person would.

"And where is that fiance of yours?"

"Oh, there he is. Hunter, come here love." I emphasized on the endearment, my grandmother loved endearments.

"Hi, Mrs. Harries." He politely said as he approached.

"Oh dear, no Mrs. Harries, call me grandmother," she waved.

"Grandmother," he nodded.

After the awkward talk between my grandmother and my fiance, we finally went to the dinning room to eat.

"Are you staying until the wedding?" I asked her.

She nodded, "of course. I can't miss my grandauhgter's wedding, can I?"

Random Fact: I'm not American, I have no idea what Colorado really is, except what I saw in Google. So let's just all imagine Colorado has ranches and it's not that modern. So yeah.
