"It's a portal."
"A what?" They both said
"A portal, you know, let's you travel form place to place. Come on guys don't be stupid." I joke.
"Oh, so you saying I'm stupid?" Reed says playfully.
We all start laughing. After calling Shelby into the room to help us and some advice from the computer we finally got the portal up and running.

   "Where do we go?" Messiah asked.
"I'm not sure." I replied.
"I want to go get Derick. Can we please go get Derick? I won't ask for anything else I swear." Reed pleads
I think to myself well he hasn't asked for anything else this whole trip so why not go and do this one thing for him.

   "Sure." I say
"Wait!" Shelby interrupts
"There is a possibility that Derick is now a shifter also since he is the true mate of Reed. Since your mate, I mean since Messiah is as powerful as you with less authority so could Derick but to Reed." She explains.
"How would we know where he is?" Messiah asks
"Tell them." Shelby says
I looked around confused who she was talking to. I looked around the room and then I saw Reed with his head down looking at the floor. Out the corner of my eye I could see Messiah looking at him too.
"What is it?" I ask

"So lately I've been feeling things. Like every now and then it feels like my heart was squeezing, tightening, I think something is wrong but I don't know what." He explains
"How long?" Messiah ask worried
"Since we got here, but it got stronger when I learned to shift."
"How is this supposed to help us find him?" I ask
"Messiah before Rowan contacted you through the link did you know she was in trouble? Did you feel the same pain?"
I looked at Messiah but she wouldn't meet my eye. She looked down at the floor and replied in a whisper so low I barely heard it.
"Yes."

   "I think that is what is happening with Reed. I think his connection with Derick is allowing him to feel the pain felt by Derick to some degree."
At that moment Reed let out a piercing scream that turned into a howl. When it was over he looked up at me with the eyes glowing like never before.

   "We have to go NOW! I saw them, we need to help him we need to go!" Reed shouts.
"Go where? What's happening?" Messiah asked
"It's Derick they're hurting him. I saw them I saw what he saw."
"Saw who?" I asked
"The King of the realm of possibility." He replied
"Oh no no no this is bad, you can't go there.." Shelby says
"Why not?" I ask
"He's trying to lure you out, remember you're supposed be the only one to defeat him with your army behind you, you know the PROPHECY!" She explained
"We can't just let him die there!" Reed screams
"I agree with him." Messiah chips in looking at me with soft eyes.
"We aren't." I say reassuring them both.

   "But we do need a plan a good one. If what Shelby says is true then this could be the end for all of us if we don't plan this right." I continue
"Yeah." Reed says sadly
"Reed I need you to focus. Try to get back to that link and see if you can check on how he's doing see if he's okay."
"I can't see anything he's breathing but that's all I know for sure."
"Then we are going to have to give him the benefit of the doubt and trust that he will last long enough for this next part of the plan. We have to hurry up and take the kingdom back from my brother and fast."

   "Okay." They all say in agreement.
"Put in the coordinates and let's go infiltrate the castle." I tell Shelby
"The way they are set up you all should be transported right outside the castle in the garden but you have to be quiet, the guards like to go there when they get away from Emanuel."
"Thank you Shelby, we will." We say.
