Lauren sat on her bed, talking to Flop.
"I just don't get it, Flop! Why did he have to die?"
"Who died?" I asked, stepping into her bedroom.
"Michael Jackson!" She put Flop down.
"We need to talk." I sat onto her bed. "I don't know if you'll like this or not, but.. I started to date a girl." Lauren's eyes lit up. "Her name is Sarah! And she's beautiful!"
"Does she treat you well?" She asked.
"Oh yeah! I think she's the one!" Laurie hugged me.
"So.. One day is she going to be my stepmom?"
"Hopefully!" Lauren hugged me.
"I'm happy for you, Dad!" I smiled and got up. She was happy for me. She was happy for me!

I was making Spaghetti when Laurie game bolrimg down the stairs.
"Daddy! There's a spider in my room. Its too big, it's going to kill me!!" I looked at her.
"Do you want me to kill it?" She nodded. I walked over to the door and grabbed a shoe, then walked upstairs to get room. "Where is it Laur- Holy shit that's a big fucking spider!" Lauren hid behind me. I whacked the shoe down onto it, seeing spider guts fly out of the sides.
"Ew. You're cleaning that up."
"Fine. Go stir the pasta for me, baby. I'll clean up the spider juices."
Once the spider was all cleaned up, I walked downstairs.
"I don't know if its done yet." I tested the pasta, it was nice and soft.
"It's perfect, baby! Thank you!" I turned everything off and served dinner. "So, did you do any colorings today upstairs?"
"Yeah! I colored in a ladybug blue! Then I didn't like it, so I ripped it up! So I colored a lion!" Laurie laughed.
"I can't wait for you to meet Sarah.. I think you'll love her!"
"I hope so! Any friend of yours is a friend of mine!"
