~DEMI'S POV:~

I watched Wilmer set my bag on top of the table that he had in the middle of his living room, "What the hell is in here?" He asked as the bag hit the table with a loud clack. I ignored him as I unzipped it to lift it up and pour everything out onto the table, the stacks of cash that I had begun to slide out as I shook the bag.

I cursed as the two handguns that were also in the bag fell on top of the cash, "Yeah... that wasn't supposed to come out."
"Demi!" Wilmer blurted.
"What?" I hissed, "The guns weren't supposed to come out-"
"No not that... all of the money." He paused, "How much is it?"

"Oh!" I giggled, "Four million. I've been taking money out of my account on and off over the past year so I could have it for times like these. Wait no five I think? I took back the stack of cash I gave to Allen once he croaked."
Wilmer ran his hands over the stacks of cash then moved the handguns to the side, "So tell me. Why aren't you actually dead?"

I tilted my head and grinned, "Oh wouldn't you like to know?"
"Am I not allowed to?"
I grabbed a stack of cash and angrily threw it at Wilmer's face, "I can't fully trust your ass just yet, deal with it and stop asking me questions. I already told you everything that you need to know for now over the phone!"

"Alright, alright. Your temper hasn't changed at all, this is exactly why I put the guns next to me." Wilmer pointed out. I rolled my eyes and unzipped the top of my jacket to reach into my bra and whipped out another handgun, "Try me."

Wilmer laughed, "You win. Did you still want to continue with the plan tomorrow or wait a bit longer?"
"Tomorrow," I replied as I set the gun next to the cash, "We need to get this part over with just to shake everything up. I found out some interesting information while I was out of the country for the past two months that I need to take care of afterward."
"Okay... that works. I'm ready whenever you are." He replied hesitantly.

My eyes narrowed as I watched Wilmer remove his phone from his pocket and began to unlock it, "Also..." I began, "I wouldn't try any funny business if I were you. You're not the only one has access to your phone."

Wilmer stopped what he was doing to look up at me, "I.. I won't. I wouldn't do that. I haven't even thought about doing anything like that, Demi."

"If I sense any dishonesty coming from you Wilmer I swear to God I will put a bullet through his head then yours without any hesitation or guilt. I have men that I bought back with me that are already on him around the clock. They know his every location, his favorite hobbies, his best friends' names, how many times he wakes up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and even whenever he decides to jerk off a bit when he's alone. So don't try it alright? We have a great history, I don't want it to get messy." I warned him.

Wilmer nodded slowly, "I completely understand.. but I promise you that I won't be trying anything."

"Great." I approved, "Now where's the guest room? I need a nap."

~CORA'S POV:~

My first day of High School was going great but it didn't end up staying that way.

Maia and I were sitting together at a table with our trays of food placed in front of us talking about our classes and such, we were having a great conversation until this group of girls came up to our table.

"Can we help you?" Maia asked as the group of girls stood around our table.
"She can help us." One girl with the blonde curly hair that was up in a bun replied as she pointed at me, "You're Cora Callahan right?"

"Yes..." I whispered. Why was I whispering? I'm not sure if I even feel scared?

"Did Demi Lovato actually kill your Mom?" Another girl from the group spoke up, she smacked her gum and continued to question me, "Like is it true? A few of us were Demi Lovato fans and we think that she was framed."
I could feel my face turn warm as my body tensed which meant that my cheeks were probably a few seconds from turning red.
