And they lived happily ever after.

I'd always dreamed those words would be uttered for me. For now their just part of my book. I close it sadly. The sun is bright and shines in my eyes. I almost fall back into the fountain behind me but a man grabs my hand and pulls me up gently. I grip the edges of the mall fountain so hard my knuckles turn white. I smile gratefully up at the man who has rescued me. "Thank you-" He smiles dashingly. He has vivid green eyes and golden hair. "Jaxson." I smile. "Thank you Jaxson." Well, I'm always there to catch a damsel in destress." Damsel in destress. He must have seen the books I have stacked up beside me. Still I don't like being called a damsel. I'm not weak.

He hoists meup into his arms and grins showing all his perfect teeth. I struggle. "Please put me down." I push his muscular arms. "Whatever you say miss." My feet touch the ground once more and I stand tall, though I only make it up to his collar bone. "What's your name sweetheart?" I sigh. "Please don't fall me sweetheart." He flashes me a grin. "Then What should I call you?" I probably won't ever see him again so... "Belle." He extends his hand. "Well it's a pleasure to meet you Belle." His gaze drifts to the left and I follow it. Three women with disturbingly revealing outfits wave to him and giggle. "Ah, I've got to go but I'll see you again Belle." He winks at me and saunters off to flirt with the three girls.

I want to sigh again but what good would that do? Enstead i settle down at the fountain again and pick up my books. I finished all of them. I slip my bag off my shoulders and slip the books in tucking them tight so that they won't fall out. I don't know what I'd do if I lost these ones. I brought all my favorites. After I'm assured that they won't fall out I head to the bathroom. When I'm finished doing my business and washing my hands thoroughly I redo my nails in the mirror. The mirror makes it easier to me and most everyone I know thinks I'm crazy. I don't understand that, by doing it in the mirror I can see all of my nails at once. The cool teal polish looks elegant and princess like on my nails.

Most little girls dream of being a princess but my dreams stretch past childhood. Nail polish is the only makeup I use because I don't want to be vain.  Although against my every intention I do find myself caring about the way others look at me from time to time. My restraint against makeup is often the proof to myself that I am it vain like many of the girls in my high school. I'm in my last year of high school and plan to go to collage. I just haven't chosen which one yet. The pretty teal glints up at me. Teal and blue alternate as my favorite colors but today it's teal.

Both colors are so calm and peaceful. So beautiful but not bright. Neither color  attracts attention as fast as others but when you really notice them you can tell just how beautiful the two colors are. Both colors represent water. Water is ever flowing, ever changing. Water is soft and gentle but can become fast and loud. Water can keep the darkest secrets and clean itself out. Water is soothing and beautiful. Water makes up much of the world. Water is the protector of life.
