I watched two medics come into the room, they looked at me and Simon and gestured for me to move. I shook my head, "I'm not going anywhere unless I get to be in that ambulance" They sighed but nodded. "Fine, could you carry him downstairs to the stretcher for us? " "yes, of course'"
I looked down at Simon and gently lifted him into my arms, carefully standing up.

We walked down the stairs in silence, I noticed Freya at the doorway, staring at me with a small smile.
"You can lay him down here, sir" I nodded and gently placed Simon down onto the stretcher, watching as they lifted the stretcher up and placed him on the gurney. "you have a couple minutes before we leave sir, we have to call and see which hospital is able to take him."
I nodded before walking to Freya. As I got to her she threw her arms around me, shoving her face into the crook of my neck, "you saved him, Josh" She whispered as I nodded slowly, "Yeah...I guess I did" we stood there for a moment longer, holding each other before I felt a tap on my shoulder, "we're leaving now, sir. We also were informed that you're a patient at the hospital we're going to, you were able to sneak out past the security and they've been looking for you. We'll emit you back in when we get there" I sighed but nodded, letting go of Freya with a final goodbye before walking after the man towards the ambulance.
I slipped onto the bench beside Simon and gently held his hand, watching as his chest raise and fell, an oxygen mask around his nose and mouth.
"oh Simon.." I whispered, watching as he turned his head slightly to look at me, tears welled up in his eyes.
