Hi there! So in English, my class had finally finished a grim, violent book called "Lord of The Flies". After we finished it, we were given a printed copy of an article, on how Lord Of The Flies had been banned and challenged in a few schools for it's violence and interpretation of boys' behaviour. We spent a couple days answering questions and discussing the topic.
Then a couple days after, we were told to go down to the library to pick a book for our summative. The rule was the book had to have been banned or challenged in one or many schools. The Librarian had already pulled out all the banned fictional books she could find, and already had them laid out on tables. I chose the book:
The Perks of Being a Wallflower: By Stephen Chbosky.
We had to read the book, and record certain things onto a Google document.
Overall, I had to answer the following question:
Should the book be banned? Why or why not?
Anyway, I'll write my review tomorrow (considering how late it is and that I only finished it an hour ago).
Anyway, gotta go to bed. Boi!
