Rosabeth's POVI slowly walk to my cell and sit on my bed and stare at the wall for a while before I hear a knock on the cell door, I look up to see Hershel. I smile and scoot over so he has room and I help him sit down.
"Hey, what's up?" I ask, my voice coming out softly. He stares at me for a moment before pulling me in for a hug. The hug catches me by surprise and I slowly set my head on his shoulder and hug him back. To be honest, he's always reminded me of my dad, they're both super caring, big on religion, and my dad would have reacted the same way Hershel did in the beginning. He reminds me of my dad in his actions. I sniffle and pull away and Hershel has a sympathetic look on his face.
"You don't need to be hurting on your own, you need someone to help walk you to the end of the tunnel you're in. I'll always be here for you if you need it. I wish you never had to deal with this, Rose." He tells me, my eyes tear up and I smile sadly at him.
"You remind me so much of my dad, thank you so much Hershel, and thank you for coming in here and checking up on me. Though I do believe we should go and help everyone, well I should, you need to rest up a little bit, don't want you to be hurting more with your leg." I say, smiling happily this time. He nods and we walk back out of the cell block and see Daryl and Maggie leave on the bike.~~Time skip.~~
I sit down on the bottom bunk with Carl on the top one, asleep. He's worried about his dad, I don't blame him. I get up and hold lil asskicker and she smiles at me. I rock her until she falls asleep and put her down in her makeshift crib. I sit back down, closing my eyes. After a while I feel the bed dip and someone's head lay in my lap. I look down and see Rick. I smile and mess with his hair."Hmm thank you, for everything. Would you mind keeping an eye on Carl and the little one?" I hear his mumbled question, I smile and kiss his forehead.
"Yeah I'll keep an eye on both of them and no problem, you deserve more than what you have. I hope after this, and after everything settles down, I can give you more than I can right now." I tell him. He nods and gets up and leaves, probably to go and clear out the tombs some more. I lay down and hear Carl start to move around and see his feet dangle off the edge. He jumps down and lays down next to me.
"Rosabeth? You awake?" I hear him ask. I look down at him and smile.
"Yeah I'm awake, what's up, something wrong?" I ask. He just shrugs and I look up at the bunk. "What do you need, food, water, a comic?" I ask. He smiles, remembering something.
"Thanks for those by the way, I'll take care of them. But no, I'm fine, can you tell me a story? From before the dead started walking around?" He asks, I smile, immediately knowing what story to tell.
"I know you remember Sarah, but do you wanna hear about the pregnancy?" I ask and he shrugs but nods.
"Well, when I was pregnant with her, I was as moody as anyone could be. I snapped at Summer a few times, eventually she yelled at me and I busted out laughing because she kept yelling about random things I snapped at her for, she had called me an assbutt, which made me laugh even more. One time, I had grabbed a mug because she scared me and I accidentally threw it at her. She surprisingly caught it and it didn't break but after that she would always call out to me saying she was home. Once she yelled out 'honey I'm hoooome' I never let her live that down." I tell him, smiling. Looking at him reminds me of telling Sarah the story, Carl looks amused by it just as Sarah did.
"She never did, and the cup broke a few days later from Dean dropping it." I hear Summer say, I look over and see her smiling down at us.
"Sorry to take Rosabeth away but I think me and her have to talk." She says. He nods and gets up to his bunk and lies down."Wait here and when I come back maybe I can tell you more about my life." I tell him, after getting up he smiles and nods, looking a little excited. I walk out with Summer and we walk outside seeing it's light out. I look around and see Glenn digging holes.
"Look, we have a problem." I hear Summer say.
