You had managed to get a hold of a first aid kit, and after de-infecting the gash on jeremy's forehead he got from hitting the linolium floor too hard you stuck a large medical patch on it.
Jeremy was very embarased about the whole thing, having fainted, and especially embarassed about the part where he nearly got both you and himself killed. (not to mention you're shirtless.)
"Aha... thanks, um... oh god... my insides are churning..."
and then Jeremy's head shot up, just realizing something. "I don't... I don't know your name! I probably should, by now... oh god... i'm such a terrible friend."
you picked your shirt up from the floor and pointed to the name tag that was pinned on it. Jeremy struggled to read your name after you had crossed out the incorrect spelling and fixed it.
"Y-- Y/N...?"
You nodded and put your shirt back on. It was still bloodied from when you used it to try and clear the blood from jeremys upper head.
"That's a nice name." Jeremy smiled sweetly, genuinely. "I like it!"
You flushed from the compliment.
You and jeremy worked together to clean up the area, very reluctantly returned the Marionette to his box, and bid each other adieu as you left the building, that was prepared to host many small children.
Jeremy promised to call you around noon, and then he glided off on his grey bike. You went home to your apartment as well and waited anxiously for the phone to ring.
When finally it did.
You don't know when, but you had fallen asleep. even though the phone had woken up you up you still felt refreshed.
you strolled in to the kitchen to grab the phone from the wall before it stopped ringing. you twirled the spiral cord between your fingers.
"Aha...! Y/N...!" the familiar voice from the other end spoke. "I'm glad to see you're awake... I was thinking we meet at the park, yes? No? Maybe so? aha... i hope you don't mind. I'm-- i'm bringing my friend with me too, um, Fritz? you might've met him, maybe not... anyway, uh, yeah. park. 5 minutes. maybe we can go out to lunch later? the 3 of us? (fritz can pay.) Be there or square!"
Jeremy hung up and the phone beeped. You returned the phone to its spot on the wall. You threw on a coat and flung the door open behind you, slamming it closed as you sprinted off to the park. no being late!
When you finally arrived, you realized you had no set place to meet the other two boys. you decided to stand under a large tree next to the stream. you would be easy enough to see. It was unusually humid, and the sun was beating down on your neck harder than ever. The tree mercifully offered some shade. it was too hot to be wearing the jacket, so you pulled it off by the sleeves and knotted it around your waist.
suddenly you spotted fritz and jeremy in the distance. you could have seen fritz's flaming red hair from a mile away! fritz seemed short, but taller than jeremy. though maybe that was just because of Jeremy's terrible habit of slouching.
they walked down the path, jeremy hooded his eyes with his hand, seemingly looking for any sign of you. a glint from the sun caught Fritz's glasses and shot in to your eye. you blinked to try and rid yourself of the swimming spots. It reminded you of the time Jeremy shone that flashlight in to your face.
You aimed a full arm wave at the boys and Fritz spotted you. he alerted jeremy, and pointed back at you. They both started to jog over.
"Hey man!" fritz called at his arrival, and clapped you on the back affectionately, looping his arm around your shoulders. "I remember you. Y/N? Jere told me allllll about you, isn't that right?" his glasses started to slide down his nose.
jeremy blushed at his mention, and absentmindedly touched the stitches on his forehead. (you were glad to hear he had gone to the hospital.) "...n--not even."
"even!" fritz laughed, and adjusted his glasses. his laugh was rich and hearty, and flaunting his buck teeth.
Fritz stared up in to the sky, carefully avoiding looking straight at the sun. "Pretty grody day, huh?" he directed at you. You shrugged one shoulder.
"Don't talk much, do you?" he smirked in a way that reached his shimmering brown eyes. the sun hit his face perfectly, and for a moment you forgot Jeremy was even there. your mouth got a little dry, and your palms a little sweaty. but you quickly shook it off and redirected your attention to the lunch place only a few blocks away.
"l...lunch? already?" jeremy asked.
You nodded vigorously. There was no better time!
Jeremy and Fritz caught each others eyes and raised their shoulders. "why not?"
Within 5 minutes all three of you were seated at a booth, ready to order. You sat directly across from Frtz and next to him was Jeremy.
"Okay, and finally, what would you like?" the waitress asked Jeremy with a grin plastered on to her features.
"L--lemonade, please and thank you. Uh--large."
"Ok, a large lemonade, a large soda pop, and a medium water. Is that all for now?"
You all nodded unanimously.
"Ok! I'll be returning with your drinks and hopefully by then you'll be ready to order." and then she whisked off in to the kitchen, or maybe to take another tables order.
After a few minutes, Jeremy started to shift uncomfortably. "I need to use the bathroom!" he blurted, and rushed off before either one of you could reply. Fritz's eyes followed Jeremy as he ran off.
"...Huh. Guess it's just us, yeah? Radical."
You stifled a giggle as Fritz stared at you contentedly.
And then you started to think. about the feelings you were feeling for fritz and jeremy, specifically. They were both very charming, and very adorable. You also cared for Jeremy a lot. you couldn't help but think about how much you liked them each time your thoughts even strayed to them. Were you... were you falling for them? Did they even like guys?
While you sat there, deep in thought, Jeremy returned from the restroom. "sorry... sorry I had to leave so abruptly." and he expeditiously sat down. "Did I miss anything?"
"Welcome back," Fritz greeted. "you didn't miss a thing."
