Henry's pov

''how is she'' austin said

''she saw her dead father'' i said and he sighed 

''your right'' he said 

''hey she could use her mate right about now'' i said and he looked at me.

''go on kid'' i said and patted his shoulder and he gave me a small smile.

Chloe's pov 

I heard someone walk in and turn and i saw austin.

''hey'' he said and sat next to me and put his arm over me and pulled me close to him.

''hey'' i said 

''you wanna talk about it'' he said 

''i saw my dead father austin'' i said 

''right..sorry'' he said and i looked at him.

''im sorry..but how would you feel if you saw nothing but disappointment all over his face'' i said 

''why'' he said 

''because werewolves killed my mom..'' i said 

''thats it'' i said 

''what is'' he said 

''he is the one who set the fire'' i said 

''how'' he said 

''the fire plans there had to have been copies of course my dad was probably doing the same thing i was trying to find our killers either that or had a huge hate for them the fires they have happened alot when i was a police officer we saw alot of them same thing over and over the pattern never changed and we never found our killer they moved into the woods too in cabins like this'' i said 

''not really making me feel comfortable right now'' he said and i focused and smelled for gas

''nope we are safe'' i said and smiled and he hugged me

''you might have just opened a wound no one wants opened'' he said 

''well it needs to be'' i said 

''trust me i dont like it either'' i said and he rubbed my shoulder.

''so what do we do now'' he said 

''now we sleep its tomorrow's problem'' i said and he pulled me close and we got under the covers. The feeling i felt was something i have never felt. I felt safe. I felt at peace. I felt completely and utterly in love with him. I smiled at my self and i let him fall asleep. 

Once i heard everyone was asleep i snuck out of austins grip and i snuck out of the cabin. It was time for answers. 

I grabbed a pair of clothes and put them in a bag and i went outside. 

''what are you doing'' i heard i turned and i saw ava

''ava'' i said 

''oh more like where are you going'' she said

''please ava i need to get answers'' i said 

''you think im going to let you go alone'' she said 

''i need to do this alone'' i said 

''hey you are now family chloe'' she said 

''and no one goes in alone'' she said 

''we fight together'' she said and i sighed

''fine grab a pair of clothes you can come and she smiled and ran inside and came out with a bag and we ran in the woods and shifted. 

''you ready'' i linked and she nodded. We grabbed out back packs in our mouths and started running back to canada.

''i have a friend that will let us stay at our house for as long as we need'' i linked 

''who'' she linked

''my friend duh'' i said 

''chloe her name'' she linked 

''amanda'' i linked 

''alright was that so hard'' she said and i shoved her playfully and i heard her laugh in my head.

After an hour of running really fast we got to amanda's back yard.

''DONT KILL ME!'' amanda yelled and jumped up and i shifted and she sighed relief.

''oh wow put on clothes'' she said and i chuckled and i grabbed the clothes and got dressed.

''dont worry ava she knows'' i said and she nodded and she shifted into her skin and got dressed.

''to what do i owe this pleasure of seeing you'' amanda said 

''my dad is alive'' i said and she looked at me

''i need a tequila shot'' she said and ava chuckled

''lets go inside'' i said and we walked inside and went to the little island amanda had in her kitchen.

''how the hell is this possible now'' she said 

After half an hour of explaining i think we all needed a shot. 

''so your dad killed her aunt and cousin in a fire that was supposed to happen at your house'' amanda said 

''yes'' i said 

''thats what all the unexplained fires are that are still going around'' she said and i nodded

''well no fucking wonder no one would lead it back to a fucking dead guy'' she said 

''where is buddy'' i said

''upstairs asleep'' she said and smiled

''how is he'' i said 

''hyper every time i come home'' she said and chuckled

''i miss that'' i said 

''buddy'' ava said 

''my well amanda's dog'' i said 

''oh'' she said 

''WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU!'' a voice boomed through my head and im sure ava heard it too considering she had the same reaction as i did.

''what whats wrong'' amanda said 

''nothing just annoying mind linking'' i said 

''DO YOU FUCKING HAVE TO YELL!!'' i yelled through the link 

''AVA CHLOE WE ARE WORRIED SICK WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU!'' henry linked 

''WE ARE BONDING ITS GIRL TIME WE WILL BE HOME LATER!'' i yelled and cut off the link and so did ava.

''so whats the plan'' amanda said 

''the plan is im going to meet my dad'' i said and looked at ava.

''this is something that i will do alone'' i said 

''the way dan explained all those guns you are stupid'' she said 

''ava im doing it alone and thats it i will link you if i need help'' i said 

''fine'' she said 

''im gonna check at the old house first'' i said and they nodded amanda gave me her keys and i went out and got in her car and drove off.

Once i got to the house i took a deep breath and turned off the car. I walked into the house and it was way too quiet..

''i knew you would be back'' i heard....
