Chapter 6

Henry's pov

"You never have opened up like that with anyone henry" Dan said

"Your point" I said

"You are getting attached to her" he said

"No I'm not Dan" I said and I walked away. I can't get attached to her I just can't.

Chloe's pov

I finished eating and I went outside with Henry.

"Tie this end to your waist." He said and I tied the rope around my waist and he tied the other end to this massive rock it was like 30 feet tall.

"You expect me to pull this I don't think even you can" I said and he chuckled. He grabbed the rope and pulled the rock like nothing and my mouth dropped.

"Now go and don't untie yourself until you move it at least 5 inches" he said and I sighed. I started pulling with all the strength in my body and it didn't move. Not even a little.

After 5 hours of trying i finally got to 5 inches and I untied it.

"Good now chop me some wood we need some for the fire in my house" he said and smiled and handed me an axe and I went to the little cut stump and grabbed a log and tried to chop the wood.

"I can't fucking get the damn wood to chop." I said

"Chloe look at me your thinking to much just chop the damn wood" he said

"I can't!" I said

"I guess I was wrong then I guess you won't make it your weak like all the other girls" he said and that made me angry. I grabbed the axe and chopped the wood even part of the stump was chopped.

"See you can. You just have to focus" he said and patted my back and I nodded

"Now get to chopping the full moon is in 3 weeks and we need to work fast" he said and I sighed and chopped the wood.

After hours and hours it finally got dark and my arms hurt so damn much. I went inside and I took a shower.

When I got out i smelled something really good and I went to the kitchen.

"Whatcha cooking" I said and smiled

"Chicken alfredo" Dan smiled and I smiled back

"It smells like my mom's" I said and he looked at me.

"Its her recipe" he said

"I'm so sorry about whay happened to her" he said and I nodded

"Me too" I said and my voice cracked and I got up and I walked outside and I sat at the table.

*flashback*

"Now clo we put a little salt and some pepper" mommy said and I grabbed some out of her hand and put it in the pan.

"Good job now what's next" she said

"Put the chicken" I said and smiled and she nodded and I poured in the chicken with mommy's help.

"Then we let it cool for a few minutes and them dinner will be ready" she said and smiled and picked me up.

*end of flashback*

"Chloe?" I heard and I looked up.

"Yes" I said

"You're crying" Henry said and I felt my face was wet and I wiped away the tears.

"You okay" he said and I nodded

"Girl I've seen alot of people bottle things up but there's one thing a girl can't hold in and that's hate, anger, and tears" he said

It fell quiet and I burst out crying and he pulled me into a hug. Once I calmed down I wiped my face.

"I was so angry for years. I still have anger because it's not fair I barley remember them and when I do it comes at random times and it wasn't fair. I didn't get what other girls got at school. I didn't have the joy of walking downstairs in a prom dress and my mom be excited I didn't have my parents at my graduation and tell me that they are proud of me. I didn't have my dad give me away at my wedding. Not that the guy was so perfect in the fucking end" I said and sniffed.

"That's why you're all the way out here. You left him" he said

"I should've left him a long time ago" I said

"The bruises" he said realizing everything.

"How long" he said

"We were married for 6 years I got married at 20. He promised me the world but so i got was the world's worst husband" I said

"Hey your here now you don't ever have to worry about him" he said and I nodded and he hugged me.

"Thank you henry" I said

"No problem kiddo now let's go inside and eat I'm starving and you should be too after all you have done today" he said and chuckled and we went inside and ate dinner.
