"Woo! It's Halloween!" Al shouts in my ear, jolting me awake.

Grumbling I ask, "What time is it? And why would you wake me up on a Sunday?"

Al just looks at me funny and responds with, "It's three in the morning and it's Halloween."

"Yeah I got the Halloween part when you shouted it in my ear. But three Al? Seriously? I should be sleeping." I mutter.

"I would've woken Rose up too but it's not like I can get into her dorm." Al smiles.

"Send an owl." I mumble while pulling a pillow over my head. "Then we can murder you together."

"I don't appreciate your tone right now Scorp. It's Halloween! My favorite holiday! Now get up!" Al shouts. I pull my blankets over my head and try to fall back asleep. "Wingardium Leviosa." Al casts, lifting me out of bed. I give up and let him do what he wants, so of course he drops me.

"Albus Severus Potter you are lucky I can't think of any spells right now because if I could you'd be at the infirmary." I threaten him while I stand up.

"I guess it's good Rose isn't up either. Then I would really be in trouble." Al mocks. I roll my eyes as I mutter various things I wish I could do. At the top of my list is to strangle Al. I grab a sweatshirt and the book I'm currently reading and head downstairs. I've read five chapters when I feel someone hug me, or if you were to ask Rose, attack me.

"Good morning Red. How'd you sleep?" I ask, closing my book. She furrows her eyebrows and I laugh.

"Seriously Scorpius? Not even a tiny jump. You're impossible to scare." She grumbles.

I raise my eyebrow and respond with, "Not impossible, just hard to scare." Rose looks at me as if she's trying to figure out what I am afraid of, losing people I care about. Rose sighs and plops down next to me on the couch.

"Did Albus wake you up?" Rose asks, already knowing my answer.

"No." I say sarcastically. "I willingly got up at three in the morning. I just love holidays so much that I have to get up at the crack of dawn."

"Well Albus is asleep on that couch over there." Rose points at him. I look back at Rose and we nod our heads in agreement. Together we walk over to him and I mouth, 'One. Two. Three.'

We cast the aguamenti spell, waking Al up. He looks around with a dazed expression then he sees us. We're on the ground laughing at him.

"Come and give me a hug." He says with a smirk, holding his arms out. Rose and I stand up and start running in circles. "I just want a hug!" Al yells as he runs after us. Finally Al collapses on a couch, surprisingly dry. "Alright I give up!" Al mutters. Rose and I look at him then go sit down on a couch. It's still only us in the common room. I grab my book of the table.

"Look what you've done Al. You've released the inner bookworm. Now I'll have to wait until he finishes to talk." Rose mocks. I roll my eyes and put my book down.

"Very funny Pricker Bush." I say sarcastically. Rose sticks her tongue out at me. I laugh.

.................................

"I can't believe they expect us to wake up at a reasonable hour tomorrow. Don't they realize that most of us will be up till' five?" Al complains.

"Well tomorrow is Monday. And Halloween isn't a holiday that we need to skip school for. So yes, I can believe it." I reply. Al frowns and starts to mumble to himself. I roll my eyes and finish eating. Since Rose isn't here I grab her an apple and head to the common room. As I'm walking, I'm lost in my thoughts.
