"Rose put this on!" Alice screams, pushing me into the bathroom.
"Alice it's just a date and I'm not comfortable in this. It's too revealing and I don't have the body for this." I yell through the door.
"Rose shut it. You'll look amazing." She screeches. I yell back and open the door. I hold my arms out at my side and turn around in a circle. Alice dressed me in light wash jeans, a lacy, flowing, white crop top, and my white converse because I refuse to wear anything else. "And to finish it off," Alice holds up a necklace. "A dainty gold necklace." I laugh when I see it.
"It's a rose Alice. Seriously? I.." I'm laughing too hard to finish my sentence.
"I thought you would like the irony." Alice replies, trying to keep a straight face and not laugh at me. She failed.
"Where did you get this? And it is really nice. Like no offense but you suck at picking out nice jewelry." I ask, Alice sticks her tongue out at me.
"When I got back from vacation, I met up with Scorpius on his lunch break. I wanted a nice necklace and like you said before I'm bad with jewelry and he helped me pick it out." Alice explains.
"Of course." I mumble to myself as I put on an over sized gray sweater. "C'mon, we have to meet Scorpius and Albus downstairs. Then I have two hours to myself before I have to meet Travis." I state, grabbing Alice and heading downstairs.
"Ready to go?" I ask as we sneak up behind the boys. Albus jumps but of course Scorpius just turns around. "Really? Not even going to tense up?" I ask.
"Nope." Scorpius exclaims, popping the 'P'. "I could see you guys coming in the glass of that frame over there." He points to the picture across the common room.
"Cheater." Albus mumbles. "Couldn't warn your best mate now could you." He grumbles.
"That wouldn't have been any fun." Scorpius replies.
"And we wouldn't of seen you jump a meter in the air." Alice adds. Albus sticks his tongue out at her and she does the same.
"Can we head to Hogsmeade already? I'm freezing and we aren't even outside." I state, walking towards the exit.
"Rose, maybe if you wore an actual shirt you wouldn't be as cold." Albus suggests.
"Alice dressed me because I apparently have the fashion sense of a five year old. If I had a say I would've worn a sweatshirt and ripped jeans." I say, lightly slapping Albus.
"See what I had to work with? It's awful." Alice dramatically sighs. I roll my eyes and keep walking.
.....................................
"I owe Scorp a chocolate frog, James a cauldron cake, and Charles a new quill." Albus mumbles under his breath.
"You owe-" I start before Albus interrupts me.
"I might've lost a few bets." He responds. I raise an eyebrow but don't ask anymore questions. I do not need nor want to know what he does in his spare time.
"Oh yes. I think next time I'll raise my price to two chocolate frogs and a new quill. Mine are always rubbish after a week." Scorpius states, Albus shakes his head.
"Well maybe if you took a decent amount of notes instead of writing down everything the professor says your quill would last longer. And I'm not taking that deal by the way. I'll be broke by the end of the year." Albus replies. "I'm already running low on galleons and I have needs too you know." I roll my eyes.
"No offense Albus but if you didn't make bets or anything you wouldn't be in this situation." Alice tells him earning an eye roll from him and a high five from Scorpius and I.
We walk into Honey-Dukes and Albus goes directly to the sections he needs. I walk around the store looking for something for Hugo. I grab a box of 'Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans' and go to pay.
"Not buying any sugar quills today Thorn?" Scorpius asks walking up behind me.
"Nope. I can't eat a lot of sugar. We have practice tonight and I really don't want to throw up." I reply, talking out my money to pay.
"You don't have to eat it tonight you know, we have tomorrow off." He frowns. "Rose, you know-" he's cut off when Albus comes over with his arms full.
"Are you sure you have enough candy?" I question with a smirk on my face. He sticks his tongue out at me.
"Let's see, shall we. I got the cauldron cakes, chocolate frogs, and a licorice wand for Lily. I think I have enough Rose." Albus replies, gesturing to what's in his arms. I try not to laugh.
"Rose don't you have to go meet Travis in like five minutes?" Alice asks, trying to get through all the people in the store.
"Merlin's beard Alice! I'm going to be late!" I grab my sweater and hurry to the Three Broomsticks. When I walk in Travis calls my name and waves me over.
"Sorry I'm late. I lost track of time." I smile.
"No problem. It's good to see you." He smiles back.
"It's not like we say each other yesterday during potions." I retort.
"Let me rephrase, it's good to talk to you." Travis smirks at me. I laugh.
"You too." I reply.
"You look nice Rose." Travis smirks.
"You don't look too bad yourself." I respond.
"Why thank you my good lady." Travis adds a classy accent, making me laugh in the process.
And for the rest of my date I was either laughing or spitting out my drink. Let's just say that I had a pretty good time.
.....................................
"Soooooo, how was your date?" Alice bombards me with questions, Scorpius and Albus are right behind her.
"Do we need to beat him up?" Scorpius questions.
"Did he treat you okay? Was he a gentleman?" Albus asks with Scorpius shaking his head next to him.
"Yes. I had a wonderful time. Travis is hilarious." I pause. "Almost as funny as the look on your faces."
Alice drags me to a chair next to the fire place. "Spill." I sigh and look to the boys for help. They just laugh at my helplessness expression. I stick my tongue out at them.
"We played 20 questions and never have I ever." I state. Alice squeals in excitement while the boys look at each other confused.
"A game to get to know each other." I explain. The nod in agreement. I raise an eyebrow at them.
"Did he buy you dinner?" Alice asks.
"As a matter of fact he bought me ice cream." I respond.
"Was it your favorite flavor? What size? Did he pay extra for sprinkles?" Alice interrogates.
I groan. "Yes. A small and I didn't finish it. I didn't want sprinkles although he offered." I reply, yawning.
"You didn't finish your ice cream? Rose that's not like you. And you haven't been eating actual meals. Is something wrong?" Scorpius frowns.
"I'm fine. I'm just not hungry and it's not like I'm exercising or anything where I need more food. I promise I'm okay." I mutter.
"Rose-" Scorpius starts.
"I'm F-I-N-E. Fine. Nothing is wrong." I interrupt.
"Alright." Scorpius gives in but I can tell he doesn't believe me.
I yawn again. "I'm really tired. I think I'm going to go to bed. Goodnight." I walk up the stairs, their goodnight's lost behind me.
