During lunch Scorpius hands me a note that says; "Meet me at the library at 5." Puzzled, I look at him but he just winks at me. By the time my classes are over I'm more confused than ever. Whenever I tried to bring it up he would just change the subject. By History of Magic I just gave up.
I decide to go to the library early, so I can catch up on the homework I procrastinated. I'm so focused on my homework that I don't hear Scorpius come in, leaving me at the disadvantage. Right after I finish my sentence, Scorpius attacks me, but if you were to ask him, he would say he gave me another hug from behind, without my knowledge. I shriek, earning myself a scold from Madam Pince, our librarian.
"Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy!" I scold. "Would you stop doing that?!" I whisper at him.
"Nice to see you too Rosie Posie. Now, I'm guessing you're wondering why I asked you here." I smack him for stalling. He holds his hands up in surrender with a smirk on his face. "I'll take that as a yes. Well, as you know we are study buddies and knowing the two of us if we don't study today we won't study at all." He announces like it's a fact.
"First, why the note?" I say exasperated. "And second, I would study. Even if it's during breakfast." I say smugly.
Scorpius laughs at me but responds with, "I like messing with you. It's fun. I knew you would be dying to know what I wanted." I glare at him.
"You're such an arse Scorpius Hyperion." I whisper at him yet again.
"Language now Ms. Weasley." He smirks. It takes all of my will power to not smack him again. I take a deep breath.
"We came here to get work done, let's get work done." I announce. Scorpius gets his textbook out and I do the same. About an hour in Scorpius taps me on the shoulder.
"C'mon Rose. It's dinner now. You need to eat." He notified me.
"No. I don't need to eat. What I need is to pass this class." I say, turning back to my textbook.
"Rose I will drag you to the Great Hall kicking and screaming if I have to, now let's go." He puts his stuff away and expectantly stares at me.
"Fine." I grumble. I shove my stuff into my bag and we walk to Great Hall, I'm muttering to myself the whole way there.
At dinner I pull out a textbook and start mumbling the words to myself. Scorpius shakes his head and grabs my textbook before I have a chance to react.
"You need to eat. I am not going to let you starve." Scorpius tells me while setting my book down. I glare at him and take a pear. "Rose." He sighs. "You know that's not what I mean." I shrug.
"You wanted me to eat something and I am. A pear." I take a bite of my pear.
Scorpius takes a deep breath before saying, "You should be eating grains, some type of vegetable, and protein. The only thing I've seen you eat today is that pear and an apple at breakfast." He points out.
Tired of being lectured I grab a piece of potato, a slice of chicken, and a few carrots. "Happy now?" I groan.
"Not quite but good enough for today." He responds. I dramatically sigh while leaning into him.
"You sound like Grandma-Weasley." I complain. Scorpius just laughs.
"Well we both care about your well-being and want you to eat so yes, I do sound like her." Scorpius replies like I didn't just insult him. "I'm being serious Rose you need to eat. As soon as your done we can go to the common room and study your heart out."
"You run a tough deal Scorpius. I guess it's okay with me." I say, dragging out the word guess. Scorpius smiles.
"Thank you Rose."
......................
"What is the antidote to-" My head droops. "Sorry what was I saying?"
"Rosie, you fell asleep, again. It's one in the morning, why don't you go to bed?" Scorpius asks.
"I won't be able to fall asleep when I get into bed." I mumble.
"I'll go get you a cup of chamomile tea. Then we can talk until you think you can go to bed." I nod my head in agreement. Scorpius smiles at me, then leaves the common room. It doesn't even cross my mind that he might get caught. While I wait for Scorpius to come back I put my books into my backpack. I then go to one of the couches and sit down. Before I know it my eyes are drooping and I'm dozing off.
I feel the coach dip next to me and I open my eyes.
"Do you want your tea?" Scorpius asks. I nod and take it from him.
"Thank you." I mumble as I sink back into the couch. I take a sip and close my eyes.
"Rose?" I hear Scorpius say.
"Yeah." I whisper.
"Next time we study I don't think you should stay up this late." He utters.
"Prob- " I yawn. "Probably." I start to lean over. Scorpius takes my tea and sets it on the table in front of us, preventing me from burning myself. I slump onto Scorpius and he replies by hugging me. I feel him move, probably for a book. He shifts so he can play with my hair, lulling me to sleep.
