Aaliyah's P.O.V

I was in my office grading lab reports when I came across Gracelands. It makes it harder on me everyday when I have to be reminded that she is 10 years younger than me. That's a full decade. She was Ryder age when I was her age. Its almost as if I'm dating my daughter. Wait we euhh that's gross. I often wonder am I doing the right thing? Here I am a 27 year old and I'm dating 17 year old who I teach at school, live with and has fallen in love with. Am I robbing the cradle as some would say ? I was pulled out of my thoughts by my phone ringing. I looked at the caller ID and then answered it. It was Marleigh.

" Hello" I said as I took off my glasses and set them on the desk.

"Hi Honey. What's up?" she asked

"Uh nothing much just grading some lab reports" I said hoping she didnt hear the crack in my voice

"Liyah what's wrong ?" So I guess she did hear it

" Nothing.. Honest"

" Dont lie to me girl. I will come over there" I sighed knowing ive been caught. I havent been able to lie to mar. Shes been my best friend since diapers.

I told her how I was feeling about me and Graceland's whole situation. She gave me some insightful advice. She told me that it was okay to feel this way ad long as Im not regretting anything. Which I'm not I love grace and I'm very happy that I met her. Though I wish that the outcome of us meeting was different. She also said that she supports us. You cat help who you fall for all you can do is just fall and as long as we lay low until she graduates then we shall be fine... I hope so.

"Well I hate to add more stress to your problems but I have some bad but hood news depending on how you take it" I rubbed my temples feeling a headache coming on. Oh god I just know its going to be terrible.

" What is it Mar?"

"Well I just got word that we finally have a court date for Grace. Its set for this Saturday 10 a.m Sharp" I groaned I knew this was going to be bad.

"Ugh why so early ? and soon ?"

"It was the only time the judge is free. Everything is all set up just bring you and Graceland. Dont worry about Ryder and Evan Baleigh can watch them"

Baleigh is Marleigh 20 year old younger sister. She went to college in California and I havent seen her in a while. I didnt know she was back.

" Bailes is back"

"Yeah she came hone early for the holidays"

I was going to as what holiday but then I remembered that thanksgiving is next week . Oh gosh its thanksgiving already.
