(12) Visiting You

I'm lying down in my bunk just staring at the ceiling. Wondering how on earth did I get here. This cant be happening to me. I rolled over onto my stomach and watched as all the other people just went about their day. The guard, Steven, was his name approached my cell.

"Harris, you have a visitor" I hopped up instantly knowing who it is. I stood in front of the bars and put my hands through the slot so he could cuff me. When I was cuffed I stepped back so they could open the doors. The guard grabbed me by the arms and led me to the visitors waiting room. When I saw her I lit up.

"Hey mama"

"Hey baby." I hugged her and gestured for her to sit down. "Did you get everything I needed?" She nodded her head yes and pulled out a folder and slid it across the table to me. I looked up her for reassurance.

I opened up the folder and out fell some pictures. I looked over the five pictures and sure enough there were some good ones in there. This is gonna help me a lot.

"This is gonna help me a lot" . I said as I hugged her again. She really came through for me.

"I know. How you holding up in there ?" She asked as she leaned back in her chair.

"Im great. No one has ready messed with me." she just nodded her head

"Well I have to go. I miss you. but we'll see you soon. right?" I nodded yes. with this information hopefully.

"see you coming tomorrow?"

" I'll try"

"I love you and you stay out of trouble"

"Love you too. Bye ma"

"Bye Avery!"

She walked away and the guards came back to get me.

"That's your daughter?" The big buff one said to me

"Yeah that's my baby"

"Cute" He put me in the cell closed the bars and un-Cuffed me. I crawled right back to my bed pictures in hand and fell into a deep sleep with a smile on my face.
