Chapter 14

     When I woke the pain had eased. I had slouched over into Colby's shoulder. My face, hand, and ankle was throbbing though. I was okay with that. It was a lot better than the pain.

"You doin Okay?" Colby said holding my hand while sitting in the spot where he previously was. Corey had stayed. Of course despite all I'm going through, they're playing Rocket League.

"Yeah," I propped myself up onto the back of the couch.

Hours went by as rounds on Rocket League went by. It soon became 8:37 at night. We started to cook all the food, put up decorations, and called over a couple of friends. Including my two best friends Noel and Nicole. Then we invited Heath Hussar, Jay Walker, of course Kat (who was already on her way when I texted her to come over) and Amanda Swearingen (Elton's girlfriend) all came over between 9:00-9:30. Heath, as usual was drunk and slurring all his words before he was here for 15 minutes. There was a total of 13 of us. We turned the TV on and watched the ball drop in New York. Colby hugged me and pulled me into a kiss as soon as fireworks went off. Everything was blocked out during the kiss. Colby leaned me back like it was a dance which caused me to laugh. I noticed everyone without a significant other was just standing there awkwardly until drunk Heath came along trying to hit on them. Specifically Nicole.

"Hey, Baby. What's something like you doing here?" Heath said putting his hand on the wall and leaning against the wall.

"Walking you back..." Nicole said with a smile on her face.

"To where?" Heath was biting his lip hoping for something he was definitely not getting.

"To the friend zone you tried to escape," Nicole walked away with a smirk on her face.

"Dammit..." Heath said under his breath walking to Noel.

"Don't even think about it," holding up her hand, Noel walked away.

"You good, Heath?" Elton shoved his camera in Heath's face, "got it all on camera."

"F––– you, man." Elton laughed at Heath's embarrassment.

Jay was not quite as drunk as Heath, but he was along the lines. He took Elton's camera who has set it down just after he had embarrassed Heath.

"Hey. Wassup guys," Jay was kinda waving. His words were heavily slurred. Elton saw him and said, "you piece of shit. Give that back." Taking it out of Jay's hands, he walked over to me and Colby where we were on the couch talking.

"So, _____. Who was Heath hitting on?" Elton said interrupting Colby and I's conversation.

"Well the one with really long hair, is really skinny, and has freckles along her nose and under her eyes is Noel. And then the one with hair a little past the middle of her back standing right beside her is Nicole. She has these doll-like blue eyes,"

"Cool!"

"They already know who everyone here is. They watch these people on YouTube," I say looking over in their direction.

"Yeah, I see Noel is wearing my blue Now Ør Never shirt and Nicole is wearing Corey's "Günth Squad" black beanie," Colby comments.

"Other way around ya idiot," Elton points in their direction.

"Yeah, Noel has the beanie on," I laugh, "Hey Nicole! Noel! Come on over!"

"Okay, so ur Nicooole?" Colby once again points to Noel, "No Noel!" Elton face palms so many times it's hilarious.

"I'm sorry, I can't," Elton laughs.

"Oh boy. Tonight's gonna be a long one," I rub my forehead.

"Hi!" Noel waves and smiles.
"Hello," Nicole says more shyly.

"Hey!" Colby holds out his hand to shake. They both awkwardly shake his hand as he smiles.

"Nice to finally meet you," Colby comments.

"Finally?" Noel was baffled that she was mention to the one, the only Colby Brock.

"Yeah! _____ has told me a lot about y'all."

Us five talked the night away as Elton was gaining more and more views.

"All about the views isn't it, Elton?" Nicole said staring into the camera.
