Chapter 18

     I still had a tear on my face when Devyn finally wrapped my hand and found a Band-Aid for my face.

"I...I'm sorry, guys," I said my voice still shaky with cracks.

"For what?" Corey asked and had his eyebrows pushed together like me when I'm confused when taking a test.

"That you have to deal with the stupid, emotional, depressed human I am," I said lying my head on Colby's shoulder. He had taken Devyn's spot when she got up to stand by Corey.

"Hey, you may be emotional and depressed, I can't tell you whether you are or aren't, but you are most definitely not stupid. If anything, you're the smartest and most talented person I know," Colby said running his hand through my hair.

"Well..." I heard Corey say followed with a "shut it" by Devyn basically back-hand slapping him. I laughed as Corey held his hand to hi cheek. Devyn wasn't in the mood for Corey's shenanigans since she just watched me tear my own skin basically off.

"Thanks guys," Colby said as a signal that Corey and Devyn could leave.

"No problem," Corey said following Devyn out the doorway. Colby got up and lay down with his laptop on the bed. He started editing the Sam and Colby video. They had gone to another abandoned mall. Nothing haunted. Thankfully. I don't think Colby had recovered fully from our adventure to the hotel when I got these scars. I got in the shower just to stand there in the water and do nothing. When I got out, I thought Colby was asleep so I started singing You Are The Reason by Calum Scott. It's the first thing that came to mind.

"There's goes my heart beating. Cause you are the reason," I sang pulling out cleanse clothes trying not to mess up my bandages, "I'm losing my sleep. Please come back now. There goes my mind racing. And you are the reason," by this time I was fully dressed and started to put my hair up, "that I'm still breathing. I'm hopeless now. I'd climb every mountain and swim every ocean," I went out of the room hoping I didn't wake Colby up. I continued down the stairs singing, "just to be with you and fix what I've broken. Oh why cause I need you to see that you are reason," I didn't hear Sam and Kat and the rest come in. I guess they went out to eat or something. Who knows with them. I was on the couch in the game room just sitting there. I was still singing and not hearing anything when Colby came down and told them not to bother me if possible since I had a rough morning. Kat asked if she could sing with me. He didn't care, "there goes my hands shaking," Kat joined in, "and you are the reason my heart keeps bleeding," she came in and joined me on the couch scaring me half to death, "I need you now. And if I could turn back the clock and make sure the light defeated the dark I'd spend every hour of every day keeping you safe. I'd climb every mountain and swim every ocean just to be with you and fix what I've broken," at this point Colby, Sam, and Elton were filming us. I didn't mind, "cause I need you to see that you are the reason 'I don't wanna fight no more'" Kat added the background words, "'I don't wanna hide no more. I don't wanna cry no more. Come back I need you to hold me' that you are reason," Kat and I were really getting loud towards this part of this song. It's just instinct when we sing together. It's easier to show emotion, "'A little closer now. Come a little closer' I need you to hold me tonight. I'd climb every mountain. And swim every ocean. Just to be with you and fix what I've broken. Cause I need you to see that you are the reason," Kat and I looked at everyone staring at us. I didn't see Corey but I saw Devyn. I looked up at the balcony and saw Corey up there in tears filming us. I had just noticed Colby was in tears.

"Aw, Colby. Come here," I said patting the couch cushion. Colby walked over lay his head on my shoulder.

"Aw common girls. Now you got everyone crying. Even Jay," Elton said. I didn't even notice Jay, Heath and even Mariah. I hadn't actually met her but I've seen her over YouTube.

"I'd come over to meet you. But it looks like I got a good first impression. You're awesome!" Mariah said coming over to the couch, "what's your name?"

"I'm _____," I said, "And you're Mariah. Right?"

"Yep. I'm sure you've seen me over YouTube?"

"Yeah."

"Alright alright ladies. Come on. I brought home doughnuts. They were on sale," Elton put a box of doughnuts down on the counter. I wasn't hungry so I didn't grab anything. The rest of the day was spent filming for TFIL. I didn't partake in those videos. My day was already eventful enough. They had this weird competition. It was hard to understand.

"I love you," Colby kissed me on the top of my head.

"I love you too," I had finally given to the doughnuts.
