~your perspective~

I woke up to Jax running around in Colby's small room. I feel that the bed is empty and that no one but me is there. Behind Jax is Colby. Colby has all the dogs in the room and is playng with him. Soon all the dogs are all worked up and all over the place. I get up, give Colby a kiss on the cheek and go to my room to change. I put on a black cropped XPLR hoodie I cut myself, along with a pair of bubble-gum-colored yoga pants, and and white Converse shoes. I then put my hair up into a messy bun and put on some basic make up. Colby and I were going on a date today. It's been about 5 weeks since we first met and started dating. I walked into his room and he was in the middle of changing. He had on some black jeans and was pulling out a maroon button up.

"You ready?" I say plopping down on the bed.

"Just about." Colby brings over a gift bag filled containing something not light, but also not too heavy.

"Go ahead, open." Colby say sitting beside me. I sat up and grabbed the present from my legs on which he set it on. I pull out the paper and inside is a felt covered square box. It's not a ring, but a bracelet. Rose gold and says 'I'm yours forever.'I start tearing up when Colby says "there's one more thing. JAX" Colby calls out. Jax comes running upstairs with something around his neck with a bow on his head. He has the biggest smile on his face.

"Read his collar," Colby suggests. I go to read it and it reads "Our love is forever"

"Awww. Baby." Colby says using his thumb to wipe away my tears on my cheek. "You don't need to cry."

"You're right," I said leaning on Colby's shoulder. "I need to thank you. Then I need to cry."

Colby chuckled and commented "That's not what I meant. You're too cute." Colby kissed me on the top of my head.

"Let's go before I mess up my makeup." I said wiping just under my eye so I don't mess up my mascara.

We get into Colby's old car. He won't tell me where we are going. I keep asking but all I get is "You'll see..." We pull up into a parking lot that leads up to a park. In the park is a blanket and all my favorite foods set up with rose petals surrounding the blanket in a heart shape.

"Aw. Baby. You didn't have to." I say hugging him. He had his guitar strapped around his back. How I didn't see it? I don't know.

"But I did." Colby gives me a kiss.

I noticed how huge our height difference was. Colby was 5'11" and I was only 5'6". So there was a pretty good height difference. I always had to stand on my toes if Colby didn't bend over to kiss him.

He took my hand and we walked over to the blanket to eat. After we're done eating we spend about 30 minutes talking. We take a walk and then Colby has me sit on a bench which is also surrounded with rose petals.

Colby sits down right beside me and pulls his guitar out from his back. He starts to sing "All of Me" by John Legend. I lean on his shoulder just listening to his perfect little voice carry on. When he gets to certain parts I join in with him.

"Because all of me loves all of you." I harmonize.
When he's done singing, I tear up and hug him.

"Aw. Thanks babe." Colby says kissing the top of my head.

"I love you" I manage to get out.

"Love you too, _____"

We spend the next hours left of the day at my favorite restaurant and then Colby took me to buy some things for myself. We go to the beach to watch the sun set. Colby had put a blanket in the trunk for sand.
