Chapter 5: Admiring

[JOEYS POV]

It was still Saturday afternoon and we wanted to just relax after the intense moment we had a few minutes ago, we decided to watch a few movies laying on his bed. We were cuddling next to eachother, and as much as I didn't want to leave, the clock hit 10:00 P.M. and I told Shane I'd probably have to go soon.

"Hey, you know it's getting pretty late Shaney" I said, getting up as I loosened from his arm that was once holding me

"Yeah I know" he said sitting up next to me

"As much as I'd love to stay, I think I'll have to leave soon" I told him with a slight frown

"Noo" he said grabbing my hands, "Stay" he was now holding my hands and looking at me. "Just sleepover, it's okay with me, and my mom doesn't care either"

It sounded like a pretty good idea, and I would totally love too, so I agreed and texted my dad telling him I was spending the night at Shane's.

After that we layed down again cuddling and continuing the movie. He had one of his arms behind his head and one around me, keeping me close to him. I had my arm around him and my other underneath me, and my legs ontop of his slightly.

Once the movie finished it was now 12:00 A.M. and Shane got up and turned the tv off.

"Hey you hungry?" he asked

"Um...yeah kind of, what about you?" I asked him

"Yes..come on, let's go to the kitchen and get something to eat" he offered

I followed him down the stairs as he lead the way to his kitchen. I sat down on the chairs and watched him as he pulled out a bunch of snacks.

"So, what looks good here?" he said gesturing to the food

"You" I replied

He put his head down laughing but then shortly answered "Well, I'm flattered Mr. Graceffa, and I would say the same to you although I was referring to the food" he smiled

"Hm...I guess I'm in the mood for a bagel or something" I told him

"Okay," he said, "I'll make one for me as well" he took out all the stuff, toasted the bagels and then sat down next to me.

I was looking straight ahead but he was staring at me, so I turned to him laughing, "Why are you looking at me?" I asked

"Just admiring" he answered

I smiled and then he leaned in closer and we began kissing again, like always I followed his lead because I never really know what to do in these situations. His tongue entered my mouth and I did just the same. Our tongues synchronized for a few minutes before the toaster scared us, indicating that the bagels were ready.

He laughed and got up. He began putting everything together and then gave me my bagel on a plate. "Want anything to drink?"

"Um...waters fine" I answered

He poured two glasses of water, one for me and one for him. We soon finished our food, and went up to his room again. I told him I was fine sleeping on a sleeping bag or the couch or anything but he insisted I slept next to him, so I did. We layed there next to eachother right before I slid down a bit and rested my head on his chest and he put his arm around me.

"Goodnight love" he told me

"Goodnight Shaney" I lifted my head up and kissed him, then rested my head back onto his chest as I listened to his heartbeat and then slowly fell asleep.

[SHANES POV]

It was the next morning, I looked at the clock and it read 9:56 A.M. I looked down at Joey who was still sleeping. He looked so cute, like an angel. I layed there for a few minutes watching him sleep, his chest rising and falling as he breathed. After a while, I slowly tried to get out of bed without waking him, but as soon as I made my first move he tightened his grip on my sides.

"Don't go" he said sleepily, his eyes still closed

I laughed softly and rested my head back onto my pillow, listening to his command. Shortly after, he began to wake up, he yawned and then looked at the clock, which now read 10:15 A.M. He looked up at me and smiled saying "Good morning" in a very raspy voice.

"Good morning babe" I answered him

He rested his head back on my chest as if I was his pillow, which I totally did not mind.

"How'd you sleep?" he asked

"Next to you? Perfect" I said

I felt him chuckle and replied "I couldn't of said it any better"

We continued laying there for a few more minutes before I got out of bed and went into my bathroom to brush my teeth. I washed my face and went back into my room and told Joey there were extra unopened toothbrushes if he wanted, and he got up and went into the bathroom freshening up.

"I'll be in the kitchen!" I yelled to Joey as I walked downstairs

Once I walked in my mom was already there making breakfast.

"Morning Shane" my mom said smiling

"Morning mom" I replied while yawning

"Where's Joey?" she asked

"He's upstairs, in the bathroom" I answered

"Oh okay, well, I made you guys breakfast it's on the counter over there" she reached for her keys and took one last sip of coffee, and continued "I have to leave in a few minutes to work" she said putting everything she needed into her purse on the counter top

[JOEYS POV]

I walked into the kitchen and saw Shane sitting down and his mom getting ready

"Good morning!" I greeted her

"Oh! Joey! Good morning hunny! How'd you sleep last night?" she said smiling

"It was good" I replied smiling at her, and then glancing at Shane who was smirking at me, I looked back at her and she told us she had to leave to work, so she got her shoes on and said goodbye as she left.

I sat down at the table, sitting across from him, and we ate our breakfast and talked a little.

"So, Joey" Shane said, while taking a sip of his coffee, "what would you like to do today?" he asked

"Anything, as long as I'm with you" I told him. He smiled and put his head down as I stared at him smiling, admiring what a wonderful gift I had right infront of me.
