Chapter 16: Flirting

[SHANES POV]

It was Christmas Eve, and almost 9 pm. I was about to hed home but Joey wanted to go to a diner, and cool down a bit. I drove to a near by diner called the Coast Dream diner. We got out and when we got in, we were seated. I sat across from Joey.

"So what do you feel like getting?" I asked him

"No idea" he replied while looking through the menu, "I lost my appetite after all that just happened but I'm hungry at the same time. Ugh I don't know" 

"I think I'm just gonna get a wrap...a chicken caesar wrap" I stated, "sounds pretty good haha" 

"Yeah it does. But I think I'll just get a side of fries" he said

[JOEYS POV]

Shortly after, a waitress came over. She was short, long blonde hair, and brown eyes.

"Hey guys, my names Katherine, I'm going to be serving you today" she said while placing down the silverware, "can I start you guys off with anything to drink?" she added

"Can I have a diet coke please" I said 

"Okay, and for you?" she turned towards Shane

"Umm..do you guys have iced tea?" he asked

"Ugh, our machine for the iced tea broke this morning, I'm sorry" she replied, sticking out a pouty face. Was this bitch flirting with my boyfriend?

"Oh...okay, so um I'll just get a water then" he said

"Sure, no problem, I'll be right back" she smiled at him

She walked away, and my face went down and I looked at the menu. What the hell was that...

"You okay?" Shane asked

"Why wouldn't I be?" I answered him

She came back, and rested her hand on Shane's shoulder, "I forgot to ask, would you like a lemon in the water?" 

"Uh yeah sure" he said

"No problem" she smiled again. 

She walked away and my face probably looked disgusted. Why the hell is she touching Shane.

"Shane I think she likes you..." I said to him

He shook his head in disagreement, "Nah, all waiters and waitresses are like that, they just want good tips" he replied

I sure hope so. After a few minutes she brought back the drinks and set them down on the table. I could tell she wanted Shane because not only was she smiling at him constantly but when she gave us our drinks she handed me mine without saying anything but when she gave Shane his drink she smiled at him and said "here you go". I will cut a bitch if I have too.

"So are you ready to order or do you need more time?" she asked Shane

"Yeah, we had enough time. I'll have a side of fries" I interrupted

"And for you?" she asked Shane

"A chicken caesar wrap please" he said

"Mm, good choice. I love that wrap. One of my favorites haha" she said writing down our orders. "I'll be right back okay?" she smiled at Shane ONCE AGAIN, then walked away.

At this point I was livid. What the fuck was she doing. I didn't want to come off as overly attatched or anything so I decided to let it slide and Shane brought up a conversation about school and all that. We eventually started talking about Youtubers, and how Shane started a channel which was pretty exciting news.
