Violets POV
I sat in the back of the classroom, writing my notes, while my head turns back and forth from Mr Park to Leila and then back to my notes. It was a continuous cycle and I couldn't help but look. The way Mr Park looked at his students freaked me out, like what's with those smiles? I've never seen a teacher so happy to actually be teaching.
"Why do you think we're reading such emotional content and why do you think it has become a much more popular theme nowadays?" Mr Park asked but I was to busy in my trance to have heard the question properly.
I start tapping my pen, still looking back and forth, Mr Park catching my eye and gives a sweet smile that I'm still not used to. I shoot my head back down to my paper and finish the sentence I wrote before.
"Violet." He spoke, I look back up. The whole class was staring at me, and I was dying inside.
I stayed silent, not knowing what to say.
"Um, why should I care?" I hissed and he chuckled, "Acting like you're not interested?" He asked.
I looked back down at my notes and close up my notebook.
Well sorry sir, maybe I actually wanna know how to write and not be a stupid bitch.
"Violet, there's no right or wrong answer, you shouldn't be so scared to share your opinion." He explained.
I let out a sigh and started tapping my pen again, Mr Park continued with the lesson.

I stuff my books into my locker and pick out the ones for next period, Creative Writing, an elective that I chose but Leila didn't, that class was filled with quiet people who didn't care so much about who you are so that's it's one of the only two classes I actually enjoy, Art being the other.
"What have you got next?" I asked Leila. "Ugh math." She groaned, and I knew it was because she didn't want to see both Grayson or Jess.
I know she keeps saying that she doesn't like Grayson, but what other reason does she have to hate Jess other than being jealous? It just doesn't add up, she despises Grayson, but yet, she hates Jess for being around him. Gosh my best friend can be complicated sometimes.
"Try not to lose your temper during math." I tease, "Ptf, as if!" She rolls her eyes and lets out a soft giggle which I was very happy to hear.
"See you after class!" I wave.
I walk down the hallway to Creative Writing, I spot Ethan down the hall, swooping his hands through his hair and letting out a genuine laugh that I was very jealous of but continue to walk with my head in my phone so he doesn't notice me.
"Oh, Violet!" He calls out.
Welp that worked.
I turned around to face him, pursing my lips and giving him a slight glare.
"Hey, we should probably finish the report today so we don't have to worry about it."
I nod in response
"Oh and don't worry, I'll invite Clay so he actually does something."
"Oh, uh-" I was cut off by the second bell (meaning we had to be in class)
"I'll talk to you later okay? Bye!" He says as he dashed down the hall to his next class.
God dammit! Did he freakin forget what Clay did to Leila? Are freaking kidding me?! That's not just something you can forget, like thats inhuman. I can't go but I can't draw suspicion. I need to seem like a normal popular chick. One in those cliche high school movies, Ethan may know a more than others but there is still I chance I can seem normal around him.
