[ Bonus 3: X-Mas Pt. 1 ]

"Daniel James Seavey come here!" I yelled, crossing my arms as my husband of 15 years shuffled his way into the living room.

"Yes?" He asked, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Come and help me get these lights up! I swear it gets harder and harder to get you to help me!" I huffed.

He gave me a small goofy grin and kept edging forward until he was in front of me. "I know you're not mad at me."

I smiled and looked away, "Maybe Seavey."

He put a finger under my chin, making me look at him. "You're beautiful, you know that Ms. Seavey?" He smirked, using his last name.

"Oh really? Using that against me now?" I said back, smiling.

"Mhmm." He hummed, leaning in to plant a sweet kiss on my lips. Butterflies erupted as his met mine. I still seemed to get those, even years later.

I sighed as we parted, "I guess I'm not. That still doesn't mean you can't help me. Get on it Mr."

He rolled his eyes playfully, but picked up the string of lights. "Do you want the usual?"

I nodded, "I'm gonna go text the gang. They should be here in a few hours."

He chuckled, "The gang.. you're too cute."

"Laugh if you will, that's what they've been, and that's how they're staying." I retorted.

I climbed the stairs to the second floor and headed towards my room, pausing when I came across Faith's room. I cracked the door and smiled, seeing her sitting at her vanity curling her hair. She's 15, but she looks 18. She's growing up too fast for my taste.

"Hey Fay." I said, opening the door wider.

"Oh hey mom. Is Violet coming tonight?"

"I would think so. I'm sure Zach and Riley will have her come. You look nice by the way. Red suits you." I smiled at her.

"Thanks. Mom, you should go get ready. Is dad finally doing the lights after you nagging him for a week?" She giggled.

"Finally. He's a handful. It gets harder to get him to do it every year." I chuckled.

She nodded, "If you want, I could help. You know how dad drags out everything."

"That would be great. I'm gonna go get ready." I backed out of her room and headed towards my room once again.

Two hours later of showering, blow drying, and clothes, I was finally ready.

My wavy hair was pulled into a half-up half-down, with gold earrings shining from my ears. My gold dress hugged my curves and slit at the thigh, showing some of my leg. "D!" I heard Daniel yell. "Are you re-" He stopped mid sentence once he entered the room.

"Wow." He breathed.

I blushed, "What?"

"You look stunning..."

"Oh shush.. go get ready.." I chuckled.

"Fine, fine.. did you text the gang?" He asked, using air quotes when saying 'gang'.
