Lena looked proudly at the line of four young and upcoming Superheros, wearing the costumes she had made for the first time, and they looked good if she didn't say so herself, and of course she had taken some personal requests from the girls and tried to work them onto the designs as best as she could. Natasha's was the simplest of all, just a black cat suit, like a typical spy would wear into a mission. Harleen's on the other hand was a little more, lets see, revealing. A crop top and booty shorts, which were red and blue. Diana looked like a roman warrior in her outfit and wow did it suit her. Then came Kara, her super suit was also red and blue, and as per request she had put the ancient eastern symbol for 'stronger together' on the chest.
Lena beamed proudly maybe she was wrong to be so hasty in banning them from becoming heroes, this year was becoming the most exciting in her life yet, she couldn't ruin because she was terrified something would happen to her or the girls, or both. Lena lead the girls through what they all assumed was a simple cupboard in the corner if the lab but Lena had turned it into something extraordinary, they were met with what looked like a military lab, monitor after monitor surrounded the room, scanning police interceptors and using FBI technology to search for ongoing crime in the area.
"Welcome to HQ" Lena said turning around to face the girls, smirking as she saw the looks of awe on all of their faces, Kara laughed unable to have any other reaction to what she was witnessing.
"All this time we thought you were working against us, that you were trying to find a cure for our powers but here you were all this time, creating a base that we could save the world from" Diana said chuckling slightly as she shook her head, Lena raised her eyebrow, a small smile had broken out on her face.
"I have to admit it was kind of funny watching the four most powerful women on earth squabble over who was going to ask the mean, scary scientist to approve of their agenda" Lena said folding her arms, when suddenly there was a loud beeping coming from one of the monitors Lena looked over her shoulder, Kara jumped slightly at the unexpected noise before looking around quickly hoping that no one had noticed, which they hadn't. Thank god. "Are you ready for your first mission?" Lena asked seriously as she walked over to the monitor, sitting down on the huge chair she had placed beside it, the girls followed her quickly standing behind her, all of them failing to understand what the monitor was displaying.
"What does all of this mean?" Natasha asked squinting her eyes at the screen that was loading figure after figure as Lena was hurriedly typing away, she spun round, "The target is a man known as the Joker-"
"I've heard of him isn't he the city psychopath?" Kara asked, she remembered her sister talking about him before she left for college, all the horrible things he had done and it was a long list at that.
"Try the world psychopath" Diana retorted, snorting as she curled her hands into fists beside her body, Lena nodded in agreement, she had hoped for a simpler first mission nut it looked like her luck was running out, at least this would test out the training she had been putting each and every one of them through.
"So we need to catch him, kill him, what?" Harleen piped up from the back.
"No killing, that is rule we can't break if we have to prove to people we're the good guys in all of this, render him unconscious so the police can deal with him, and give him the justice he deserves" Lena ordered, "Usually he resides in Gotham City but it looks like he wanted to come out and play, which he will soon realise was a big mistake. Right now police have him pinned on an alleyway just off of main street, good luck!" Lena called after her superhero team who quickly left the building, on their way to fight the first bad guy they had come across.

"Natasha! Are you alright?" Diana asked helping Natasha to her feat, Kara looked around using her X-ray vision, after finding the Joker they had highly underestimated how hard it would be to restrain that specific freak of nature, even for four gods on earth, he had managed to give them the slip.
"Wait, guys, where's Harleen?" Natasha asked as she managed to catch her breath, holding her rib cage that was beginning to throb, Diana and Kara looked around, suddenly a panicked look in their eyes, the blonde was no where to be seen and she couldn't exactly be missed very easily in her Superhero costume.

"What's your name Blondie?" The sadistic voice of the Joker ran out across an abandoned warehouse that he had manged to drag Harleen to, she was now restrained against a wall, however she hadn't even attempted to struggle.
"Harleen Quinzel" She said simply, something about the Joker, maybe the mystery about how he ever came to be, sparked her interest even before she had inherited her powers and mental state from the rock, but those feelings grew stronger now.
"Hmmm" The Joker hummed stroking her head like she was his pet, which in this state she was. "I think I'll call you Harley" He laughed casually, "Yes Harley Quinn" He paused looking at her with a crazy look in the corner of his eye as he let her go, "Run Harley Quinn, run back to your friends, I have a feeling this will not be the last time we see each other." He said cunningly as Harley did as she was told and ran out of the warehouse, only looking back once to see the Joker standing looking after her with a evil smile on his face, it was clear to see that he was a man with a plan.
