Harleen hadn't moved from her space at her desk in the corner of her and Natasha's shared dorm room, her eyes hadn't moved focus from the screen of her mac book, which was perched precariously on the edge. Ever since her encounter with the Joker she had been unable to think about anything, or anyone else, even that important deadline she had coming up for one of her classes, he had completely taken over her mind. Harley had spent all night reading up on every single one of his criminal endeavours and instead of being absolutely appalled, she was utterly inspired.
"Harleen, Lena wants to talk to us about something to do with safety protocols" Natasha popped her head round the dorm room door, after just leaving her lecture, but she too couldn't concentrate, that night confronting the Joker had been the closest she had ever come to death, and somehow Natasha couldn't stop thinking about that moment, it was really throwing her off her game. She immediately noticed that Harleen was still looking up information on the Joker, who was now perhaps their arch nemesis."You're still looking for clues as to where he could be hiding out? I thought Lena said something about him being able to trace your cyber footprint?" Natasha questioned, as Harleen quickly shut over the Mac book and sliding it back into the safety of her satchel. The blonde stood up, a crooked smile blazon on her face, as she walked towards the door where Natasha was still stood.
"I'm not one of Lena's science experiments, or a puppet for her to control, I don't care what she tells us to do" Harleen whispered ominously into Natasha's ear, before pushing past her and walking out of the dorm room. "Also its Harley Quinn, not Harleen" Harley said just loud enough for Natasha to make out before she disappeared around the corner of the corridor. Natasha furrowed her eyebrows, it wasn't often, if at all that Harleen, or now Harley, that objected to Lena's instructions. Usually that role was reserved for Kara, who almost usually gave in at least all the time, well I suppose thats what happens when you're under someones spell, and Lena definitely had a strong hold over her. Or Diana who, with her strong personality had the majority of disagreements with Lena about how she was running things, however luckily that always seemed to manage to come of some agreement.

"I think I have a location on the Joker" Lena revelled as she spun around on her chair to look at the four women, already dressed in their Superhero costumes, they were all in the secret room behind Lena's lab which the University had assumed had been boarded up years ago, evidently that was not correct. For some reason that room was now known as the 'Den' it was the only name they could all agree on, for their top secret base of operations.
"That's amazing Lena!" Kara beamed, she still after all this time couldn't quite get over how smart that woman was, and god how that just added to her already ten out of ten status in her mind. Diana rolled her eyes, for the past month all Kara was capable of talking about was how Lena had kissed her right here in the lab, Diana had heard the story so many times she could practically recite it like a new teen drama, because boy did it sound like one. She also had heard enough about how Lena was now acting like nothing had happened between them, and about how nothing had changed in the relationship they have. Diana was sick of hearing about it, she loved Kara like a sister but this whole deal with Lena was just getting on her nerves now.
"So where is he?" Diana cut in, all she wanted to do was take out her frustrations on this career criminal who belonged in a insane asylum not out roaming the streets of Gotham City and apparently he was beginning to branch his work out into other places as well, which was just the epitome of hell on earth for any sane person.
"A warehouse, south from here but not to far, seems like he's hiding out their until the police arent on high alert." Lena explained, but just as the four women were getting ready to go and finish the Joker once and for all Lena had a final order that she had yet to give out. "Kara and Diana you should keep a guard on the warehouse and create a distraction so Natasha and Harleen can sneak in and take out the Joker before he knows whats hit him, the only way to take out someone this unhinged is by surprise." Lena ordered, Kara nodded, the beam not falling from her face, Diana practically had to pull her out of the den and away from the hypnotic brunette. Natasha and Harley followed them out, Harley still smiling ominously to herself for no seen reason, and Natasha couldn't help but feel like there was something off about her.
"Harleen are you feeling okay?" Natasha asked, maybe she had some unseen complications from the whole business of gaining their separate super powers in the first place.
"I've told you before its Harley Quinn" The blonde growled like a wild animal interacting with its prey not a girl talking to her roommate and supposed friend. Natasha made the decision to watch her every move, Lena had warned about a change in behaviour, maybe, just maybe, this was it.
