The morning sun shone in my eyes as I woke up from my sleep. I open my eyes to see my purple curtains drawn back.
I look around my room.
It's small, it only contains a bed, a dresser, nightstand and a bathroom.
Actually, the whole house is small. All it is, is a living room, kitchen, and my room.
I live here alone, in this small house in Sydney, Australia, even though I'm just seventeen. I moved out of my mom's and my stepdad's house right after I graduated. You could say I had some family problems.
Anyways. I get up out of bed and grab some clothes from my dresser. I head to the bathroom and begin to strip for a shower.
I hop in, turning the water on. The cold water sprays my face, and I instantly turn the knob to 'hot'.
I sing as I scrub my body. When I'm finished, I hop out and wrap a towel around my body.
I slip into my ripped black skinny jeans, and I put on a yellow tank top with a navy baggy shirt over it. I pull on my black converse and tie my long black hair into a ponytail.
I brush my teeth, put on deodorant, and apply make-up.
I go back into my room, putting my phone in my pocket an slinging my brown burlap bag around my shoulder.
A few squirts of perfume, an I'm ready for the day.
I grab my car keys off my nightstand and I go outside to meet my black mustang.
I hop in, starting her up. I check my phone, seeing I have a text message from my best friend, Lucy.
Lucy: hey shorty, meet me at the coffee shop at ten till 8?
I send her a reply and put my phone up. I look in my rear-view mirror and you with my lip ring before I go. Then, I quickly back the car up, and head off in the direction I'm supposed to go.
---
I park my car at the front of the coffee shop. I get out and walk in, only to be met by arms wrapping around me.
"Audrey! I've missed you! Don't ever do that again." Lucy says to me.
"Sorry. At least I'm here now." I reply.
"No one knew where you were. Well, not until you texted Ashton, telling him you were okay." She tells me.
I am familiar with all of this.
"I know, I'm sorry. I was just so depressed, but I'm over it now." I say to her, hoping to convince her.
She nods and turns towards the counter of the coffee shop. "I'd like a hot chocolate and an iced coffee." She says to the woman.
When we get our drinks, we sit down at a corner table and we catch up.
"So, how are things with everyone?" I ask.
She knows who I'm talking about.
The boys of 5 seconds of summer. I'm actually related to the drummer, Ashton. He's my cousin. We hang out with them all the time, they are like our best friends.
"Pretty good. Right now they are working on a new song. It's coming along nicely." She answers.
Just then, the bell on the coffee shop door rings, signaling that someone is coming in. I turn around to see who it is, when two very large arms grip around mine, squeezing them to my sides.
"Audrey!" I hear a familiar voice shout.
"Ash!" I shout back, excite to see him after two months.
