AUDREY'S POV•

We sit in silence the rest of the way. It snot an uncomfortable silence, but rather the 'I'm so comfortable with you we don't have to speak' kind of silence.

I still don't know where we are going, he hasn't told me yet. So I look out the window and watch the familiar city lights fade.

"Luke, are we going to Lucy's?" I ask.

"Something like that." He answers, smiling.

Ugh. I dot know what's going on.

He pulls right into Lucy's driveway, and gets out.

"What are we doing here?" I question.

"You'll see. Come on, follow me." He says, taking my hand and walking me across Lucy's property.

We walk for a few minutes, until I finally realize where he's taking me.

"Luke..." I start.

"Shh. We aren't there yet." He says, smiling like an idiot.

I laugh at his stupid remark.

He takes me up the hill, up to the view where we can see the pond. The sun is setting, so it's beautiful.

He, of course, planned this.

"Come sit." He instructs, patting a spot beside him while he sits down on the grass.

I plop down, and our knees touch. Mhmmmasdfghjkl.

"What are you staring at?" I ask him, seeing him eye me.

"You." He smiles.

"Stop being so cliché." I tell him, playfully hitting him in the arm.

He laughs and looks at the sunset. I see him bite his lip, his teeth tugging at his lip ring.

Why? Why Luke Hemmings? Why?

"Staring isn't polite." He says, noticing that I am watching him.

"You were doing it a few seconds ago, that's not fair." I state.

"I'll tell you what's not fair." He gets up and grabs me, tickling me all over.

"Luke stop it!" I scream/giggle.

He keeps tickling me, while I try to squirm out of his grip.

"Stop it!" I laugh.

He stops for a moment, letting his eyes meet mine.

"Not until you say 'Luke Hemmings is the hottest person, and most talented singer I have ever met.'."

I sigh. "Luke Hemmings is the hottest person, and most talented singer I have ever met." I repeat his words.

He stops and smiles, returning to hi place.

"I'm gonna get you back for that." I warn him.

"Oh really?" He questions.

"Yep. Better lookout. I'm like a viper, I'll strike at any moment." I say, joking around.

He laughs at my joke, still smiling.

"Do you remember when we got our lips pierced together?" He asks, suddenly.

"Uh, yeah, it was like years ago." I answer.

"We went into the place and you got it first. They sat you down and you started freaking out." He tells the story.

"And you were in the corner laughing!" I recall the memory.

"It was funny! They didn't even pick up the tool yet and you were crying." He laughs.

"It didn't even hurt that bad when they did it." I regret crying. It made me look weak.

"Then it was my turn, and I sat there like a statue." He says.

"No, that's a lie! I saw a tear running down your face after the guy pulled the trigger." I giggle.

We laugh for a few minutes over the story.

"You were so scared. You thought they were going to kill you." I tell him.

"No I didn't. I was just scared that they might hurt you. Lip piercings hurt Drey." He says, getting serious for a moment.

"Are you serious? You thought it was going to hurt me?" I ask.

"Yeah. Then it would be my fault, cause I talked you into it, even though we got dared." He says quietly.

"You actually cared if I got hurt?" I ask.

"Hell yeah. You are very important to me, you think I want you hurt?" He asks me back.

"I'm important to you?" I question.

"Yeah...uh...you are." He rubs the back of his neck, signaling he's nervous.

Did he really just say that to me? I'm important to him?

"Well, you too. You are one of my best friends, I don't know what I would do without you." I tell him.

I don't really know what else to say.

He sighs.

"What?" I ask.

"Nothing." He says.

"Something's wrong. What is it? You can tell me." I put a comforting hand on his shoulder.

Boy, this is awkward.

"I just don't like being called your friend." He says.

"Well, okay. That was a bit rude. If you didn't want to be friends, you could have just told me, instead of bringing me out here, watching the sun set with me, making me think that I was special in some way-"

I get cut off when he kisses me.

Yes, Luke freakin Hemmings kisses me.

He pulls back, looking at my face.

"I meant, I wanted to be more than friends."

"That is so cliché." I state.

He kisses me again, but this time, I'm ready for it, so I kiss back.

I hate this boy. The feelings he makes me feel.

Butterflies erupted from my stomach. We stay like that for a few minutes until I pull away.

"Wait. What just happened?" I ask.

"Uh...I'm not really sure." He says, laughing.

"Okay well this changes everything." I say, getting up.

"Audrey, please don't leave." He complains, puckering out his bottom lip, which makes me want to kiss them again.

"Lucas Hemmings, the things you do to me." I state.

"The things I would like to do to you." He jokes.

I glare at him.

"I'm kidding, I'm kidding. Audrey, don't go. Stay with me a little longer." He begs.

I grab his hand and help him up.

"I gotta go. I'm gonna go find Lucy, and hang out with her for a little bit. I need to think about things." I say.

He sighs.

"Well, tell me that you will only think good things." He asks me.

"Okay." I tell him.

He kisses me once more, just for a few seconds, then let's go.

He holds out his pinkie finger. "Promise?" He asks, smiling.

I smirk, then I intertwine my pinkie into his.

"Promise."
