Chapter Twenty-Five

"Ashton!" I yell. "Ashton!"

"What?!?" I hear him call, coming around the bathroom corner to see if I'm alright.

"I'm hungry." I complain.

He sighs. "Get something. We have a mini fridge over there."

I pout. "But I'm lazy."

He looks at me, unimpressed. "I'm not getting anything for you."

"I love you, cousin." I say.

"Nope."

"Ashton." I place my hand on his shoulder.

"No."

"Aaaasshh." I drag out his name.

"Fine." He grits his teeth.

"Love ya." I smile and hug him.

"What do you want?" He asks me, already heading over to the fridge.

"Get me a banana smoothie." I order, straightening my hair in the bathroom.

"We don't have any smoothies, just bananas." He calls.

"Make one." I smile into the mirror.

"You are so difficult." He whines.

Luke walks in.

"That's why she's mine." He says, grabbing me by my waist, and pulling me down to sit on his lap on the couch.

"Hands off my cousin while I'm around." Ashton barks.

"Oh come on, Ash. You can't protect me forever." I say.

"But I can until you are eighteen." He says, handing me my smoothie.

"Two more months." I say.

"One more month for me." Luke says.

"You guys grow up so fast." Ashton pretends to wipe a tear.

"Get over it Ashtray." I joke.

"Stop calling me that! You've been calling me that since we were five." Ashton whines.

"I was young, didn't know your name, so I called you Ashtray. It stuck, and now you get to live with it." I say.

"I don't like being called Lucas." Luke says.

"I know, I just call you that when I'm mad at you." I tell him.

"What do you not like being called?" Luke asks me.

"Uh...nothing. You can call me anything." I lie.

"Except for Beth." Ashton blurts.

I glare at him.

"You don like being called Beth? What is it? Your secret first name?" Luke asks.

"It my middle name. Audrey Beth Irwin. I used to go by in in grade school." I say.

"Oh." Luke mutters.

"I better not hear the name being uttered out of any of you guy's mouths." I threaten.

"We won't." Ashton promises.

Luke and I lay on my bunk side by side.

He twirls my hair in his fingers, while I scroll through my Twitter.

"Someone tweeted me saying they can't wait to see me preform with you guys. I have fans!" I say excitedly.
