Chapter 7

Annabeth

Annabeth followed Percy. suddenly Percy turned behind. "What are you doing?" he asked raising his eyebrows. "Um...Following you?" Annabeth said.

"And may I ask why?" Percy asked tapping his foot. "uh....because I wanted to?" Annabeth replied. Percy sighed. "why? And this time don't even try to lie." he said "well, you said that you had crushed ribs....so I thought that I would come and heal you." Annabeth said while fiddling with her hands. "you could have just told me that. it's not like I'm going to bite you." Percy said giving her his famous lopsided grin. Annabeth just nodded and dragged him to the infirmary. she helped Percy into a chair and turned to get the nectar and ambrosia. She turned when she heard a noise behind. She found Percy on the floor and shaking violently. Annabeth quickly picked him up an lay him on the bed. Percy began muttering incoherent words. then suddenly he stopped shaking. "mom! leave her alone, Gaea! Annabeth ! no! don't hurt them!" he screamed out. Annabeth started panicking. she tried waking him up but to no avail. the screams had brought the others down to the Infirmary. finally after a bad 15mins Percy stopped. His breath came out evenly signaling that he was asleep. the others except hazel and piper left. Piper brought food for Percy which he refused to eat. "come on, seaweed brain! you have to eat!." Annabeth demanded. "I'm not hungry! I don't want!" Percy whined. "Ok what happened 15 minutes ago?" Annabeth asked. "I don't know it was like a series of events....i saw....my mom, you and the rest of the seven dying. and the worst thing was Gaea said that it was all my fault......and I believed her." Percy said, his face looking pale. Annabeth gave him guick hug and said, "Percy, nothing is your fault. ever. remember that. and you still didn't tell us how you got here." "I know. I'll tell you tomorrow. right now I'm taking the night shift" percy said, getting out of bed. "no way, mister! get back! sleep" Annabeth said. "but.." Percy started. but Annabeth shook her head and Percy went to sleep. in a few minutes he was asleep. Annabeth looked at him. he looked so peaceful. she stroked his hair and planted a kiss on his forehead. and went to her room.
