Reyna

Sunlight. It seemed so alien to her after seeing it after being underground for 5 days. Reyna never realized how beautiful the sunlight was. Always lighting everything that was in darkness. She would have gone on droning about the sunlight if Nico hadn't collapsed near the Statue. Coach Hedge was sleeping under a tree. I hurried to Nico and forced a piece of ambrosia into his mouth. In a few minutes he was sleeping too. I decided to leave him be and scoured the land we were in. We were surrounded by trees. Beyond the trees a highway stretched across the landscape. There was no major landmark except for the scenery of distant city lights. A speck of bright light was seen amongst the night clouds. Reyna wished she could get a better look. And just as she wished, the clouds moved and she was able to make out a face below the light. Lady Liberty, stood proudly on the pedestal holding the bright speck of light that was actually the torch. So, they were actually pretty close to Camp. Reyna sighed. Just a few more days and they'd make it. They had to.
