Annabeth

Annabeth was really afraid to.....sleep. that too without Percy by her side. truth was, when ever she closed her eyes images of Tarturus flashed in her mind. She looked down at percy's sleeping figure. He looked so weak. So fragile. Annabeth knew that if anyone deserved to sit out of this war it was Percy. And her of course. They both had been through so much. And Percy so much more. Just then Percy stirred. After a few seconds his eyes fluttered open."Annabeth?" He whispered looking into her eyes. Annabeth gave him a good tight hug and then smacked his arm. "you seaweed brain! You always manage to scare me! You idiot!" she exclaimed and turned away from him. Two strong arms a suddenly wrapped around her. Percy pulled her into his bed and put his mouth near her ear and whispered, "you know you love me." His breath left shivers down her spine. Quick as a flash she turned around and gave him a kiss. he wrapped his arms around her waist and deepens the kiss. "hey Annabeth ! do yo-Oh My Gods! I'm so sorry!" piper exclaimed. Annabeth pulled away. she blushed deep red while Percy just smirked at her. "Um, piper ! what do you want?" "I thought that maybe you would want something to eat. But I see that Percy's wake so I think he would want eat something. So, ok goodnight!." she said and left the room. Annabeth turned back to Percy and found him struggling to get up. After a few minutes of struggle he finally managed to stand up with a big grin plastered on his face. Together holding hands, they went to the mess hall. The hall was deserted as it was late night. Annabeth grabbed an enchanted plate and a goblet and sat at the table. When she asked Percy to grab one too, he refused. "You have to eat." Annabeth said.

"What if I don't want to?."

"Well, you don't have an option."

"Nope, not happening."

"Fine. then no kisses for a week."

"Ok, ok. Jeez you really know how to catch me, Wise Girl." Percy said and grabbed a plate. He had a very small blue hamburger and a blue Pepsi. "I suggest that you go and sleep. I'm taking the night guard." Percy said and stalked out of the room before Annabeth could protest. so Annabeth trudged to her room and immediately fell asleep. But sadly her nightmares followed her. She was at Camp Half Blood. Or so she thought. The camp was in shambles. The big house had a big gaping hole on its roof. The cabins were crumbling down. The worst part was all around her on the ground she saw bodies of campers. She even saw Travis with a sword stuck to his chest. then a sleepy voice rang out and Annabeth recognized it as Gaea's. "That's right my girl. Your camp will be destroyed. Join me. Join me and all you love will be spared." "Never!. I will never join you, Gaea. Nico, Reyna and Coach Hedge will deliver the Athena Parthenos to Camp Half Blood. And both the camps will be reunited!." Annabeth shouted. "Well, my offer still stands. And just so you know your boyfriend as already joined the army. He is the commander." "your lying....your lying!." Annabeth screamed. "Believe what you want, demigod. but I don't lie. Bye." Gaea said and Annabeth woke up with a jolt. Annabeth thought about what Gaea said. Percy had already joined the army. but how can she believe it?. Gaea could have been lying. But a small voice at the back of her head said that it could be true. Annabeth decided that she simply had to confront Percy. Knowing Percy, his fatal flaw would have got in his way, and he might have joined. She quickly pulled on her night clothes and went to the upper deck. She found Percy and Jason talking. When Percy noticed her he said, "Hey, wise girl what are you doing here? I thought I told you to go sleep." "Its none of your business. I can be up whenever I want. We need to talk." Annabeth stated coldly. A flash of hurt crossed percy's face but he quickly hid it and went with her below deck. Annabeth led Percy to the stables. "When where you going to tell?" Annabeth asked. "tell what?" Percy asked, confused. "you know what." "Annabeth I don't know what your talking? What's wrong?" he asked placing a hand on her shoulder. "When were you going to tell me that you joined Gaea's army?" Annabeth asked shrugging of Percy's hand. "What?!"

"Don't play dumb, Percy. When?"

"I don't know what your talking about."

"Your lying. Gaea told me that you joined her army."

"And you believe her?" Percy asked incredulously."Yes. Knowing you, yes." Annabeth said placing a hand on her dagger. "What... You've known me for 5 years. 5 long years. You know I won't do this." Percy said. For reply Annabeth pulled out her dagger and slashed a nice gash on Percy's right cheek. Percy looked taken aback. "fine. Believe that evil Gaea. I don't care! For all you know I'm a traitor, right Annabeth?. Don't come to me when there's trouble!." Percy yelled and left the stables. Annabeth didn't remember when she did but she slowly sank to the floor and started crying.
