Champagne

The first day we meet was wonderful... no thrilling. Exhilarating even. The atmosphere was like champagne: light and forbidden. Our hidden love was frowned upon by everyone, they all said we were never meant for each other but were to stubborn to listen. That wanting surrounded us like the champagne bubbles dancing on your tongue. But we learned that those thrilling bubbles eventually fade away and so did you. For you that tingling of those champagne bubbles turned to flat. That bright warm champagne color dulled for you. It was the opposite for me. Whenever you walked into a room I was surrounded by that warm champagne color and your phantom loving arms would wrap around me; but you would only brush past me. But now I know that those dancing feels within me no longer existed in you. And one day your champagne went flat and you left. You left me when I still had those bubbles dancing around. Who am I supposed to share this with now?
