I could see the coldness sinking further in your body; turning your skin to a pale purple. Feeling as though I should turn away and give the coldness it's privacy as it become more violent. The pale purple had been splotches at first but then it become ravenous and dug in and spread the pale purple quicker and further. Grabbing your hand I tried to stall the coldness and inevitability. Staring at your startling purple lips I remembered all the kind words that spilled from those lips. As I rubbed your hand I remembered all those hearts and lives those warm hands had touched. The tears spilled from my eyes as the coldness finally left leaving a pale purple fragment of someone you had been.
