Soft Pink

The sky hummed with contentment as it turned soft pink. I felt it's calmness wash over my heart as I stared at it. The soft pink light spread across the sky, as I laid down silently in the soft grass. The long blades tickled my exposed skin as I relaxed and the blades enveloped me in a blanket of comfort. The soft pink sky lulled me into a peaceful sleep as it slowly began to fade away into the dark night. As the soft pink glow faded, it seemed to take the false sense of security with it. With the soft pink glow gone and replaced with the dark, forbidding, black night I felt exposed and alone. Standing up I walked away from the dark forbidding night in search of the calm soft pink sky.
