Is this considered clickbait? If it is you just got tricked. This is my take on what happened after Mike and Eleven kissed, and that was the last we saw of our little beans.

Mike's POV

As we stood there, foreheads pressed together, I smiled.

I finally have her back and safe for sure.

We just stayed like that until the song ended. When the song did end El just looked up and smiled at me, trying not to cry.

"Hey El, it's okay. I'm here this time. I'm glad you're back."

She embraced me in the tightest hug I've ever been in, which I happily returned.

She pulled away and we saw our friends, and my sister, weird, walking up to us.

Lucas and Max were holding hands, what happened with them?

Dustin had a big cheesy grin on his face. Okay, if all the girls rejected him, why is he smiling?

Oh god no, Nancy wouldn't.

She did, I could see it in her eyes.

Will walked up last, confused.

"Hey Nance! Chaperones need to get kids out come help!" Jonathan yelled.

She tuned to the group, mostly Dustin and I, and waved.

"We're riding with them," I said to Will and Lucas.

"Steve should be outside any minute," you can guess who said that.

Dustin waved and walked off.

El turned towards me, "Hopper said I can stay with you tonight, but I have to be home before 3 1 5."

I smiled at her.

"Okay, 3:15 it is then."

Max just looked left out and confused.

"Will, Lucas, and El are coming over. Max, you can stay with us tonight if you want?" I said.

I took pity on her for tonight only. She looked happy, and I have El back now.

She looked happy that she finally got to seriously be apart of the party.

El looked sad.

I quickly noticed, but as if on cue, Jonathan yelled for us to come on.

Of course, I didn't notice that all of those kids are out of the gym.

Lucas grabbed Max's hand and they walked.

Will looked at me like he could read my mind and walked up to Jonathan and started talking to him.

"El, what's wrong?"

We started walking.

"You told her she could stay."

"I only took pity on her for tonight. She looked happy, and personally I don't need you to flip her off of the skate board again."

She smiled.

"How'd you know that was me?"

"When Max said, 'It was like there was a magnet in my board' I kind of figured it was you. I went to look for you, but you had already left."

I looked down ashamed I didn't continue to search the school for her.

She grabbed my attention and put her lips on mine.

I kissed back and when she pulled away I smiled.

"I know you're probably gonna be mad at me for saying this, but I think you should a least talk to Max. I know it might be hard to do at first, but I want you to have a few more friends than just the guys and my sister."

She looked at me and smiled.

We eventually reached Jonathan's car and we all piled in.

We sat with Will up on the far side of the car. Lucas was in the middle, and El was kind of pushed up against the door on our side in between me and Lucas.

Despite our lack of space, she lays her head on my shoulder and I kiss her forehead.

Lucas, on the other side of El, was rolling his eyes.

Probably because his girlfriend was had to skate home.

That was probably a sight. Her riding her skate board in the dress.

"So Nancy, what made you decide to dance with Dustin?" I asked.

"The other girls rejected him, and I was being nice."

I looked over at El, she gave me a look I've never seen before.

She looked happy, complete almost. I'm happy I've made that impact in her life.

"I'm glad I got the chance to go to the Snowball," El told me.

"Well, I did promise."

"And you can't break promises."

I smiled at her and kissed her cheek.

It was at this moment Nancy passed something back to us.

"Snowball '84" It read.

I smiled, complete.
