Tae looked up at Yoongi through hurt eyes, blood dripping from the corners of his mouth, "If I wasn't so afraid of being rejected, don't you think I would've told him? And I don't want to hurt him more than I already have."

Yoongi scoffed. "Are you being serious right now? Do you really think ignoring him like this is making anything better? If anything you're just making everything worse."

"I know I am," he said after a pause.

"That's not what I meant, Taehyung. If you keep blocking yourself out from Jungkook, you both can die."

Tae looked up at Yoongi carefully, "I'm sick of his hyung. I just want things to go back to normal. I am sick of all of this. We could be happy right now, but we aren't. I'm done. I give up. He thinks I don't know how much he's being affected but I do. I would understand more than anyone. You think I haven't seen him crying because of all of this? You think I don't care? I don't even want anything bigger than a friendship. I just want Jungkook, hyung. I've known him for 8 months, and I just want the Jungkook I knew 4 months ago. I just want to be in his arms. I just want to know him the way I did before, to be the one to comfort him like I used to—" Tae coughed out more blood, tears running down his cheeks.

" Taehyung! " Jimin yelled from behind Yoongi. He pushed Yoongi away and held Taehyung carefully, slapping his back before he choked. Tae gasped for air and shook his head as blackness took over him.

JINCOOKS: Good you two are. I was going to ask you guys to meet up with us tonight too.

The first thing Jungkook notices when he enters the apartment with Yugyeom at his side is Tae's face. He looks terrible. The color seems sucked out of his skin and his eyes are bloodshot. Jungkook's smile fades.

"Tae, are you okay?"

Tae's head snapped up to meet Jungkook's eyes. He seemed shocked which he really shouldn't because Jungkook did message everyone that he was coming.

Tae still hadn't replied.

"You don't look so good Tae. You should sleep if you don't feel well," Yugyeom said carefully.

Jungkook put a hand to Tae's forehead. "You looked perfectly fine this morning. What's up?"

"Yeah," Yoongi said. "That's what we wanted to meet up and talk about." Jungkook turned to Yoongi. And all the others. He hadn't even noticed them. Hoseok and Jimin sat on front of a half built structure made of cards, a few still in their hands.

"Hey guys," Jungkook said with a small smile before turning back to Tae. "Tae, really, I think you should get some rest."

Tae finally replied with a shake of his head and a weak smile. Jungkook reluctantly looked away, taking a seat on the floor.

"Yugyeom and I should be staying for an hour before we have to go. If you change your mind, you're welcome to go into our room and sleep."

Tae nodded but it didn't seem like he would take up on the offer.

"What do you mean? Where are you two going?" Jin asked.

Jungkook immediately lit up at that, turning excitedly to Yugyeom who returned the smile. "You know how I said I have an announcement on the group chat?"

The others nodded. Jungkook took Yugyeom's hand and raised it in the air, almost triumphantly. "Guess who's with who?"

The boys froze, staring wide eyed at the two's hands. Jungkook laughed at their shock, only to be broken off by Yugyeom letting go of his hand and standing up with a surprised squeak, his phone held tightly in his other hand. "Shit! Jungkook get up! Our train's leaving in thirty minutes ."

Yugyeom helped Jungkook up, the latter grabbing the phone from his hand to see. "What the hell? The ticket didn't-- no one said--"

"I don't know, Jungkook, but we've got to hurry if we want to catch that ride."

Jungkook looked at his friends. "I'm sorry we couldn't talk for longer. But basically we're going to Busan for vacation for a few days. I'll text you guys on the ride. We'll meet up once Yugyeom and I get back and talk about what you guys called us for."

Yoongi looked a little annoyed but Jin hesitantly replied, "Don't forget please."

Jungkook nodded firmly, turning to Tae. "Really, Tae. Get some sleep." Tae watched Jungkook with a faraway look.

Yugyeom put his hand on Jungkook's shoulder, pulling him to the door.

"See you guys!" Jungkook said with a small wave.

"Sorry we couldn't stay for longer," Yugyeom apologized. "Bye!"

The door clicked close, the sound of Yugyeom and Jungkook's loud footsteps fading away slowly.

Namjoon was the first to speak.

"Things just got a lot more complicated."

The house of cards Hoseok and Jimin had been working on before the two younger boys had entered, quietly collapsed.
