Taehyung lay on his bed at 2 AM breathing heavily. Jungkook hadn't reacted. He'd looked him right in the eye and hadn't done what all his other friends had when they'd met they're soulmate: "OH MY GOODNESS!" "YOU'RE MY SOULMATE!" Tae's yell had died in his throat when he realized...the bond wasn't both ways.
Tae grinned sheepishly. Jungkook's smile though...
He sighed.
Should I tell someone? Maybe Jimin. No. He couldn't tell anyone. Not yet at least.
Tae dwelled on the thought of dating Jungkook for a while before he slowly closed his eyes and dozed off.
Did he really love him?
__
Tae woke up to the sound of someone knocking on his door. He groaned.
"Oh, um, Jin hyung sent me to wake you up," a small voice said.
Tae's eyes widened at Jungkook's voice. Tae quickly got up and opened the door. Jungkook smiled at him. "Good morning."
"Morning Kooks," Tae returned the smile. He still couldn't quite look him in the eye. It hurt.
"Jin hyung made breakfast," Jungkook said.
"Okay, let me just wash up and I'll be there in a minute." Jungkook nodded and left Tae's room.
Tae quickly brushed his teeth, changed out of his pajamas and went to the kitchen to eat breakfast.
__
They all sat in the living room--Namjoon and Jin at their house--, Jungkook on his laptop. He figured he'd have to start looking for a job since he couldn't always depend on his hyungs to do the groceries and pay the bill to the apartment themselves.
Jungkook sighed. "I still haven't found anything."
Hoseok looked up, "You don't have to look for a job Kookie. We have your back covered."
"But I do have to. I feel bad. You guys let me stay with you so I have to help. That's the least I could do," Jungkook said quietly.
"My friend just opened a cafe not far from here. They're looking to hire a waiter," Jimin said.
"Oh, Taemin's?" Tae asked. Jimin nodded.
"Really? Do you think you could take me there?" Jungkook asked.
"Of course Kookie," Jimin smiled.
__
Jimin and Jungkook walked in the cafe to greet a handsome boy.
Taemin smiled at Jimin, "Jimin-ah! It's been so long," he hugged Jimin. "How are you?"
"I'm good, you?"
"I'm doing great."
"Hyung, this is Jungkook. He's new to Seoul and needs a job."
"Oh yes, we do need a waiter," Taemin nodded. "When do you want to start?"
Jungkook smiled, "Whenever you want me to start, I'm ready."
"Is tomorrow good?"
Jungkook nodded.
"You'll be here from 10am to 9pm, everyday," Taemin looked Jungkook, "Are you comfortable with that?"
"Yeah, thank you hyung. But after summer when college starts I'm going to have to change my schedule. Is that okay?"
"Yes of course," Taemin smiled. "Thank you so much Jungkook. I'll be looking forward to your work. I have to go take care of my customers now but we'll talk more tomorrow okay?"
