" Hyung ."
It was all Jungkook could muster.
" Hyung ."
He winced his eyes in pain.
" Please ."
He felt himself waking up, but he just wanted to drown. Just drown into darkness. Just let the emptiness take him away.
" I'm sorry, Hyung ."
"Jungkook."
" I'm sorry ."
"Stop being sorry," the voice said. Jungkook felt a hand wipe a tear away from his cheek. "It's going to be alright."
Jungkook held the hand, not entirely awake. He held the hand to his heart and lie there for a minute. Just him and the comforting stranger.
"Will it? Will it really be alright?"
"Jungkook, I'm here. I'm here, don't worry."
"Please. Help me ."
"I'll stay here alright? I won't leave you."
"Who are you?"
There was a short silence between the stranger and him.
"Just someone you need."
"Who are you?" Jungkook asked again.
The man paused again and asked carefully, "Do you want to open your eyes?"
Jungkook thought long and hard for a moment, before he nodded slowly.
"Open them."
Jungkook slowly opened his eyes, and closed them again, trying to adjust to the light.
The stranger tightened his grip on Jungkook's hand, "You can do it."
Jungkook opened his eyes and looked up at the stranger.
He took his eyes in his soft brown eyes in. He traced his eyes down the trickle of crystal tears, the stranger's high cheekbones, his trembling sad smile and looked back up at his puppy eyes.
"We'll be alright, Kookie," Taehyung locked his eyes with Jungkook's. "I'll stay strong for you," he whispered.

That was the shortest chapter but it's got meaning. I'm not sure you realized it or not, but basically. IT DEEEEEP
This small happy au chapter is happening in their brains whereas when Taehyung (the stranger) asks Jungkook if he wants to open his eyes, Tae's basically asking Jungkook if he wants to "realize" that Taehyung is his soulmate. And when he does,, happily ever after??? I mean,, it would make more sense if you got it the first time b u t . yes.
That was the happy version.
Is taehyung alive? Is he not? It's up to you. tbvfh this is just me being lazy but doing this just bc i love love love my reader so damn much,, thank you.
