Days past as Jungkook woke up too early, went to bed too early. Taehyung barely saw him now.

Jungkook always came home late and never even ate dinner because he always ate with Yugyeom. It's been like that for two weeks. The same boring day and Tae was just too afraid to go visit him in the cafe. If he didn't have to go to the theater he stayed in bed, digging his head in the pillow. He couldn't even memorize the lines anymore.

There was only a week left until the summer break was over. Hopefully only one more week of this mess.

It was 11pm now. Jungkook should come back home by now. Everyone else had already eaten, but Tae didn't want to eat. He told them that he would be practicing his lines, but really he was sulking in the corner of his room.

Tae heard the familiar sound of small foot steps running in.

"Jungkook!" Tae heard Jimin calling. "Tae ordered your favorite, lamb skewers."

"I ate with Yugyeom already hyung. I'm not hungry. Thank you though." Tae heard through his door.

Jungkook opened the door to Tae's room and he fell of his bed. Jungkook giggled.

"Next time warn me when you're gonna barge in like that," Tae said getting back up.

"Sorry," Jungkook said quickly. "Okay okay, hyung. I need to tell you something," he said excitedly.

"Okay," Tae sat down next to Jungkook. "What's up?"

"Okay, you know Yugyeom right?"

"Yeah," Tae said, resisting the urge to roll his eyes. He'd been with him for entire days now, how was he not tired of his coworker already.

"Well," Jungkook paused. "I..."

"Tell me already!" Tae playfully punched Jungkook on the arm.

"Okay, okay," He smiled and his eyes twinkled. "I think I have a crush on him," he said quickly. He threw his head back and laughed. "I really love him so much, hyung."

Tae tried to smile. He really hoped that it didn't look as sad as it felt. Tears threatened to fall out but he tried to stay strong.

"You've only known him for two weeks," Tae laughed. "You can't be serious."

"But I am!" Jungkook frowned.

"No no, it's cute," Tae giggled.

Jungkook laughed and fell back on the bed, pulling Tae along with him.

The two lie on the bed, Jungkook's smile creased on his face and it almost seemed permanent.

I wish I could make him as happy as Yugyeom did.

"I'm tired, hyung."

"Okay," Tae said quietly, and pulled his and rested his head on one of the pillows and laid down next to him.

In just a couple of minutes Jungkook was snoring.

Tae got up as quietly as he could and went to the bathroom in their room.

He would've had a good cry in the bathroom if the tears hadn't started falling as soon as he got up.

"Why do I even feel this way?" He asked himself. He fell on the floor, his back leaning against the door, the tears almost unstoppable.

Is this what love really is? Heartbreak after heartbreak. If love was so painful, why is it that all I do is run after it?

Tae almost choked on a tear. He doubled back and a sweet scent filled his nose. He started panicking. He held his throat. For a moment he thought he was going to stop breathing before he coughed and almost right after threw up all over the bathroom floor. Tae looked down at his hands and resting on his palm was a beautiful violet petal, the edges inked with blood.

Tae stared at the innocent thing in his hand. He cracked a smile.

If this warm feeling in my stomach is what brings this, than I want to cough petals out every day. Only for you.

Tae cried through the pain that filled his heart, through the smile that he managed to bring.

If Yugyeom was the person that Jungkook loved so much, the person that made Jungkook smile, the person that made Jungkook's heart flutter, then Tae wasn't meant for Jungkook.

Tae fell back on the floor and screamed in his hands as he choked on another petal and coughed it out. He lie there for a while. With the two innocent petals in his hands, in the mess he made. He closed his eyes, his tears falling out as if this was how he breathed.

A while passed before Tae got up and started mopping the bathroom floor, still crying. Even as he mopped he managed to vomit more...through his tears, and the smile that seemed to stay on his face, permanently.

All those people who thought they were so lucky to know what love was like...they were fools. All of them. And I'm one of them.

This is what love is.
