Jimin stepped out of the bathroom. Yoongi looked at him and stood up.
"Jimin, give me your phone. I left mine at home, I have to call someone."
"My phone's out of battery," he lied through gritted teeth.
"I know it isn't out of battery, Chim, you always have it charged."
"It's out of battery now, okay?" Jimin said, plopping down on the couch. All eyes were on him. He resisted the urge.
"What's wrong?" Yoongi asked.
"Nothing."
"The fuck Jimin. We're soulmates. I can feel what you feel. It's not called a bond for nothing."
Yoongi watched Jimin for a moment, waiting for him to say something. When he didn't Yoongi said, "What did you do?"
" Nothing ."
"Sure. Give me your phone."
"I said no."
"Jimin, give me your phone."
"No," Jimin refused giving Yoongi an annoyed look. "You're not my dad."
Yoongi took a seat next to him. "Yeah but I'm your soulmate. Just tell me what's wrong."
"He promises not to be too angry," Jin piped in.
Yoongi glanced at Jin before turning back to Jimin. "I'll try?" he offered.
Jimin frowned, but seemed to loosen up a little. Looking everywhere except towards his hyungs he admitted, "I, um...I called Jungkook."
Yoongi twitched. No. I must be calm . He opted to pull Jimin to him instead of punching him. "Park Jimin, why would you do that?"
"I don't know Yoongi! Look, we're soulmates, right?" Jimin said against Yoongi's shoulder. "We're happy together. Namjoon and Jin hyung. They're soulmates. They're really happy together. Everyone I know has a soulmate. Everyone I know is happy. Tae and Jungkook are each other's soulmates. Why can't we let them be happy? It has to work out. The universe made them like that so it could work out. If we can just get Jungkook here, if we just get them to talk, maybe--"
"Maybe he'll just suddenly fall in love with Tae?" Yoongi said. His tone came out angrier than he had intended it to. "Jimin, sometimes...sometimes soulmates don't work out. You know Hoseok's story. Not everyone ends up with their soulmate."
"Hoseok was different though. Tae and Jungkook are both very much alive and near each other. It's just...it's just Yugyeom! It's because of Yugyeom that Jungkook doesn't see Tae at all."
"It's not Yugyeom's fault," Namjoon said. "It's not anyone's fault. Especially not Yugyeom's. I don't know how much you told them over the phone but they're going to feel horrible en--"
Jimin's phone went off in his pocket.
"Out of battery, huh?" Yoongi said. Jimin pulled his phone out sheepishly. He stared at the phone's screen. "It's Jungkook."
___
"Tae. I'm really sorry I've never told you this before," Hoseok started once he'd closed the door behind he and Tae. "Everyone else knows what happened. I just never told you."
"You never told me what?" Tae asked, eyebrow raised.
"Why I still don't have a soulmate."
"Didn't you say that you just haven't found your soulmate yet?" Tae asked, confused.
Hoseok titled his head to the side. "I never said that. I think you were just so used to that being the typical answer that you immediately associated me not having one to having not met her yet."
