Winter break was nearly over

Winter break was nearly over. You had to go back to school. Well, at least not for long. Luckily, though a little unfortunate, you'd finish junior year in your current school, and senior year would be in a different one.

You were a Mae, a daughter of a highly established upper-class family. Your parents ran a company so huge, everyone knew it. They were in every field; entertainment, medical, military. You being the youngest of four siblings and was given the privilege of privacy and less pressure. Luckily.

So there you sat, on a winter afternoon, in the corner of a cafe, waiting for your cup of hot chocolate. You scrolled through your social media, bored, double tapping every picture, ads included.

"Your hot chocolate, ma'am," the waiter brought your drink. You smiled.

"It definitely is my lucky day!" You jumped in your seat, almost spilling your drink.

There he was, Nico, smiling at you. "Nico...what a surprise," you gave him a smile that you hoped didn't look fake.

"A good one I hope," he sat opposite to you. Not really, you wanted to be alone, but you lightly laughed like you agreed. "I wasn't looking for you, at least not today," he called the waiter and ordered a cup of tea, "I don't know why exactly I was looking for you, I just was."

You didn't notice it in the club, but now you heard a slight Australian accent. It wasn't strong, it was carefully hidden with an American one. And unlike his suit at the club, he wore a formal shirt under a dark trench coat which was unbuttoned. His eyes closed like a crescent moon when he smiled widely.

"This is was completely unintentional to run into you, purely coincidence," he drank his tree, "What were you doing here though, all by yourself?"

"Just enjoying my loneliness."

"How depressing," he rested his head on his hand, "I hope you're not always like this."

"Just today," you shrugged.

"Why? Is something wrong?" He scrunched his eyebrows together. Crap, he looks cute. You slapped yourself mentally, you barely knew the man. What the hell?

"School starts in four days." His eyes widened to the size of dinner plates, "Oh crap, I forgot! How old are you?"

"Seventeen, and you?"

"Nineteen." It was your turn to be surprised. "I thought you were twenty!"

"Because of our first encounter. Understandable."
