Tattoo

In the morning true to his word Akito visits his sisters, they all tackle him to the floor as soon as they see him, Sasha cries and Irene kisses his head, Yuki punches him for taking so long and Dina hugs him for a solid minute.

Eliza takes photos and smiles as they gush over him. When they get off of him and he manages to breathe again he hugs them all. After they finish hugging they have breakfast in the garden

"So what happened while I was away?" Akito asks as they're finishing up

"Sasha got a tattoo" Yuki says sipping her orange juice

"She did what?!" Akito exclaims almost spitting out his coffee

"I'm kidding" Yuki smiles "I got a tattoo"

"Oh okay" Akito says relieved but then Yuki's words register and he raises an eyebrow at her "you got what?"

"And a piercing" she smiles pulling her hair back to show her crossed earring from one side to the other of her ear

"Well at least the tattoo is pretty" Dina smiles

"So you all knew?" He asks his sisters

"Who do you think let her get it?" Dina asks and points at Irene who puts down her coffee

"She wanted one and I think she's old enough to have one" Irene explains calmly. Akito sighs and rubs his temples

"And what is it?" He asks

"It's a flower" Yuki says a bit blushed "a peony like Ryütai"

"What?" Eliza says startled by the news, she knew Yuki has a tattoo but a peony? Like her?

"That's," Akito starts also surprised by the flower

"Very sweet" Eliza smiles and Akito stares between his wife and his sister and chuckles

"You're both strange creatures" he murmurs and finishes his tea.

"Anything else happen that I should know about?" He asks

"I did my re-initiation yesterday" I smile "this time I walked away"

"Really?" Akito says surprised "I heard you crawled last time"

"Well last time I barely made it out alive and I also broke both my legs so" Eliza shrugs "I think that entitled me to not make it out walking"

"You don't have to explain yourself" he chuckles

"Apparently I do because everybody said that when they saw me" Eliza whines "and also, there will be a ceremony in two days for my branding"

"Branding?" Dina asks, the others are confused as well

"Yes, branding in representation of the two clans having united" Eliza explains "everyone once they have proven their worth to the Yamaguchi, are branded. If they leave or are disgraced and banished the brand is tainted"

"When you say brand" Akito says a bit worried and the sisters are slightly horrified

"A tattoo" Eliza explains "it's not like we're branded like cattle. Everyone choses their own tattoo style but the symbols are the same"

"Where's your tattoo?" Sasha asks

"On my leg, it goes up to my hip" Eliza smiles

"Cool" she smiles

"So the ceremony is what?" Akito asks "what does it consist of?"

"I'm presented before the leaders of the united clans and then they each tattoo their symbols on me. Then a tattoo artist does the rest" Eliza explains

"So I'm going to have to tattoo you?" Akito asks and starts to go pale

"You'll have an outline to follow don't worry" Eliza smiles but his sisters all start chuckling

"You better start practicing" Yuki scoffs "because if you're as bad as you were five years ago then Eliza is in trouble"

"Don't be too mean he wasn't that bad" Sasha says

"Have you forgotten the supposed flower he tried to draw?" Dina asks

"What flower?" Sasha asks trying to remember

"The one that looks like an angry duck" Yuki smiles

"That was supposed to be a flower?" Sasha asks a bit mortified "I thought it was supposed to be a duck" They all burst out laughing and Akito turns beet red

"I'm sure you aren't that bad right?" Eliza asks Akito who sighs and rolls his eyes at his sisters

"I am every bad as they say" Akito grumbles "but I'll practice I promise"

"It's okay" Eliza says trying not to laugh but kind of failing "I don't mind having a disfigured lion tattoo on me" she snorts at the end of the sentence and starts to flat out laugh, along with his sisters. Akito crosses his arms and stares daggers at them until they stop

"I'm sorry" Eliza huffs and clenches her stomach "whatever you tattoo will be prefect" she smiles and kisses him

"I'm glad to hear that" he smiles and kisses her back

"Yeah because you could get something that looks more like a moose than a lion" Yuki snorts and Akito pushes her off her seat. She just laughs on the grass making Akito frown

"You'll be fine" Irene comforts her brother who smiles at her
