Journey To The Monster's Kingdom pt. 1

Nick's P.O.V

2 Days After 'The Lightvales' Event

It's 2 in the morning. Lately, I've been having sleeping issues. I would always woke up in the middle of the night for no reason. The good thing is that I could use this time to decide either to warn the Monster or keep this to myself. I sighed. Today was the day I planned to go warn the monster. It's the best day to warn them since most people are taking a day off today. I grab my backpack and slowly got out of my room.

                Trying to be as silent as possible, I moved slowly down the stairs. No one was awake or that was what I initially thought. I heard somebody reading something. I tried ignore it as best as I could but my curiosity overcome me. I stopped and listened in closely of what the person is reading;

The fire.
Its chasing me.
Or that's what it seem.
The fire was engulfing everything.
The house, the people, they all became nothing.

It's growing bigger and bigger.
But in the end, when there is nothing left to burn.
The fire to, will become nothing.

Just like the surrounding.
Just nothing.
Nothing except.....

ME.

It's certainly... interesting. I shook my head and continued to sneak down the stairs. I was at the front door, I gently open the door but... Creek  the door made a sound anyways. I stopped the door so it doesn't makes anymore sound and slid through it. Now came the tricky part, closing back the door. To my surprise though, it didn't made any sound this time.

                I walked through the cold night, there wasn't any storm today so my trip will be much easier. I walked to the forest where the hut was since it was much easier than going around the forest. The dark forest was much more frightening. It reminded me of my dream, I was now... insecure. Once awhile, I would check my surrounding to see if there's anyone or anything near me but due to darkness, I couldn't be certain that nothing was following me.

                I then heard the bush behind me move. I turned but couldn't see anything. I decided to brush it off and think that it was just the wind. I was wrong. Before I knew it, I was pinned on the ground by someone. They were covering their head with a robe. They hold a knife above me to stab me. "Stop!" A voice said from the shadows. 'Wait could it be?'  I thought.

                "Onie?" I asked. He revealed himself, confirming my suspicion. "Hey, Nick." He said, "What are you doing here?"

               "I was going to warn the Monster about- Wait, if you're here that means this is..." I looked at the one that is pinning me. "Chara? Yup, that's right." Onie answered.

                It took me awhile to catch up but as soon as I realised it, I pushed Chara (as gently as I could) and stand up. "Ow!" Chara finally spoke. "It's bad to push a girl away!" Chara scolded me. Honestly though, she's right. "S-sorry." I stuttered 'cause I was embarrassed. I'm pretty sure I was blushing since Chara blushed when she looked at me and looked away.

               "Alright, lovebirds, since all of us have the same..." Onie stopped to think an appropriate word. " 'quest' let's go together since it'll be better." Onie suggested.

"Sure, I wouldn't mind. Plus, I could use some help." I agreed.

               "Two boys? Well..." Chara looked at me. "I guess if it's you guys I wouldn't mind." Chara smiled. Onie walked towards Chara and pulled her up.
