Journey To The Monster's Kingdom pt. 2

Nick's P.O.V

               I know I said I couldn't sleep for the last few days but... Chara sleeping in my embrace made me feel easy, seeing her safe for some reason, made me smile, made me feel... happy. I finally got a good night sleep. A good night sleep without any weird dreams or nightmare to bother me... just Chara... in my embrace.

               I opened my eyes to the sight of a short brown haired girl holding me in her arms and mine holding her. She was wearing a red sweater. I looked besides me to see Onie and Piplup sleeping together. 'Onie really does easily get along with animal' I thought. I gently put Chara's arm that was hugging me to her side and stand up. I looked at the fireplace, the fire must have been putted out because of the breeze from last night. I go outside and took two rocks hopefully to light a spark on the firewood.

Spark

               'Fuck!' I shouted in my head due to annoyance of making a spark. It was soo irritating to do it! Sometimes it does make some sparks but the wood didn't burn and other times it wouldn't even make a tiny spark! "Aaahhh!" I groaned but immediately hold my hands up on my mouth so that Chara and Onie doesn't wakes up. I turn my head slightly to see Onie shifting a little bit.

               'Shoot! That was a close one.' I continued to light the fire with the rocks. I honestly got soo annoyed with this that I turned to my 'Fire Form' just as soon as the forth try didn't work. I burn the firewood with my fire while groaning in annoyance. I panted as I changed back to my normal form. 'How does Onie does that soo easily? ' I asked myself. I stand up and heard a Mmm sound from behind me. I turned to see Chara hugging her pillow tightly. "You're soo warm, Nick. I could hug you forever." Chara mumbled. I feel a rise in heat on my cheeks as I comprehended what she said. I stared blankly at the fireplace for a good 5 minutes or at least that's what I think. I'm not sure. I shook my head making me comeback to reality.

               I walked towards the door to see what time it was. When I walked between Onie and Chara's bed, Piplup woke up and glided to my shoulder and sat there. I pet it's tiny head and continued walking to the door. I looked up in the sky. The sun was nowhere to be seen, it must been either early in the morning or late in the evening. Either way, might as well make something for them to eat. Good thing Nina left some frozen food for me, I could just reheat the food and it'll be fine.

Welp, time to get cooking! Get it, cooking? No? Okay ~_~

Chara's P.O.V

               I was awoken by the scent of fried fish. I sat up and saw somebody cooking a fish that had a stick piercing it. My vision got a little clearer and I saw Nick with Piplup by his side. "Is it okay?" Nick asked me. Piplup nodded its floating head. "Mmm, that smells soo good." I complimented.

               "Huh? Oh, you're awake. I was cooking some food for us." Nick said with his tad deep voice. "Smells great, did you cooked it?" I asked while going near him.

               "Not actually. My sister cooked it, I just reheat it." He answered. 'Wow, he's sister cooked for him. I wonder if he cooks himself.' "You must love your sister a lot." I said. He just turn a little and smiled at me.

               Groan "Why did you guys need to talk so loud." Onie suddenly said awakening from his slumber and rubbing his eyes. "Sorry, we forgot you're still asleep." Nick said still cooking the fish.

               "I'm gonna go get some water to wash myself, the lagoon should be fine." Onie said while standing up and walking to the door. Piplup glided near him and hovered besides him. Nick said, "Bye, bro." Before focusing back on the fish. "Shouldn't you go and clean yourself too?" Nick asked and put the cooked fish besides him. "I'm not going to clean myself with you here." I crossed my arms and looked away hoping he doesn't noticed me blushed.
