I skip through the grocery isles with my trolley,
"Summer, will you slow down, if we don't get everything mum asked for..."
said my older brother, Jack
"Who cares, give me the list, cereal, you get that, pasta, you too, and barbecue, tomoato, mustard sauce, and the rice crackers and don't forget the dog food!!"
"And Summer, what will you be getting?"
"The icecream, the chocolate bars and the lollies, duh"
We both split in different directions, I head for the confectionary isle and make a left, I just love this isle.
"Cookies and cream or Banana Choc Chip" I say out loud
"Get the cookies and cream it's really good"
"Thanks, I'm Summer, I was going to chose cookies and cream but my brother really loves banana choc chip, stuff him, what's your name?" I say rambling on
"Liam, you don't sound British"
"Yep, I'm from Australia"
"Oh, I love Australia, which part?"
"Sunny Queensland, bit different to here" I say laughing
"Well I gotta go Summer and get the rest of the food, but see you around?"
"Yep, I'll see you around Liam"
Damn it, it's Sunday, school is tomorrow, whyyyyyyyy
Oh my god their is a ton of homework on my bed, I grab some random chocolate bars and bags of lollies, done, I sprint for the checkout, seeing Jack lining up
"What took you so long to get three things?
"I was talking to someone, can this line get any slower I have a lot of homework to do"
"Shut up Summer, do you ever not talk?"
As we arrive home, I run to my bedroom, it's math homework, are you serious??
I sit on my bed for hours, just scribbling answers and trying to work out sums that don't even make sense, I can't wait to get out of high school. I can't wait for the last day of school, I can shove my papers in Mr Ryan's face and shout
"NO ONE LIKES YOU"
That will be the best day ever.
