Chapter sixteen

We walk into the dance, and everyone turns to us. Elena runs up to me and hugs me. I hug her, but catch sight of my siblings. "J, beware, my family's coming! Just hold onto my hand!" I say and he laces our fingers together. "Em, you look amazing!" Rebekah says hugging me. "Who are you, and what have you done with my little sister?" Elijah asks kissing my cheek. "Jermey, have you seen Emilin around here? If you do, will you tell her I'm looking for her?" Nik asks and I smile. "Emilin, even though you looked beautiful in the simple dresses you used to wear, you look even more beautiful now!" Finn says.

Rebekah and I look at each other and smile. "Did I say something out of sorts?" He asks. "I think your just, a little woozy from your nap." I say. All of  our siblings laugh except him. He flashes his veins and fangs. Jermey tenses, so I turn to him. "Hey it's okay! It was a game we would play when we were first turned! He's just messing with me! It's okay! I promise!" I say grabbing his hands. He nods, so we turn back around.

"Ah, young Jermey! Do you really need Emilin to protect you?" Kol taunts. "Kol! Stop!" I say. "What are you going to do about it, Emilin?" He asks. "J, lets go!" I say and grab his hand. I start pulling him, but Kol pushes him against the wall. Stefan, Damon, and Elena appear next to us. "Kol! Please!" I beg. "Emilin, why do you care about this human? You lost Henry, you'll loose him to. Why not erase him from your life right now?" He asks. "Kol! I will NEVER forgive you if you do this!" I say. "Emilin, why will I care?" He asks. "Kol, that's a Enough!" Nicklaus says putting a hand on his shoulder.

"Turn it back on!" I say. They look at me confused. "Kol, please! Turn your emotions back on!" I say. He looks at me. "Excuse us!" I say then grab his hand. "Bonnie, will you put a sound spell on my room for me please?" I ask and she nods.

She does the spell then leaves. "What made you flip the switch?" I ask. "Who said I flipped it?" He asks. "Your acting in strange behavior!" I say. "Why does it matter that I flipped it?" He asks. I walk up to him and hugged him.

I open the balcony doors and pull him outside with me. "Emilin, what are you doing?" He asks. "I'm gonna make you turn your emotions off!" I say. I take my shoes off, and hand them to him. "Hold those for me please!" I say then climb on the railing. "Emilin?!" He asks walking closer to me. "Turn your emotions off, or this is about to hurt me!" I say. "I'm gonna call your bluff!" He says. "Fine! See ya when I come back!" I say then fall backwards.
