Chapter twenty

I gasp, and tears start to form in my eyes. "Emilin Lean Salvatore Mikeaslon! Ever since I met you, I have been changed! I'm so sorry for everything I've done. I have fallen in love with you a little bit more, every day! I will love you as long as I live! Will you make me the happiest man, and be my wife?" He asks holding my hand. "Do you really want to be my husband, even with my crazy family?" I ask crying. "Emilin, I want you to be my wife! Even if that means I'm marrying into a crazy psychotic family!" He says. I look at the group behind us, and Rebekah nods her head.

"Yes! Yes, yes, yes, yes!" I squeal. He jumps up and I wrap my arms around his neck kissing him. He picks me up and twirls is around. He puts me down the slides the ring on my left hand. I look at it and smile.

I look at my right hand and see the ring Henry gave me. "Nicklaus, may I have my ring?" I ask. He slides it off his finger and hands it to me. "Jermey, I want you to know this, so you can leave now if you so choose. A year after we were turned, I was engaged to my love Henry. He was human as well. Nicklaus killed him, but after he had already proposed. If you don't want to be my husband after finding out I kept this from you, just say so." I say. "Emilin, that was about a thousand years ago! I have my group of ex's. I still want to marry you!" He says.

I smile then kiss him. I turn to our group and see them in tears with large smiles. "How long have you all known about this?" I ask. "Well, young Jermey came to ask all of us last night." Kol says. "You asked my brothers permission, even though your afraid of all of them?" I ask smiling and he nods. "I gathered the originals, and Damon and Stefan." He says and I hug him.

I lay on my bed happy as can be. The love of my life just asked me to marry him! I squeal and feel the bed area next to me sink down. "Bex, I cant believe this is happening!" I say and she smiles. I move to where I'm laying my head on her chest, and she starts playing with my hair. "Will you be my maid-of-honor?" I ask. "I thought you'd never ask." She says and I roll my eyes.

"Would it be bad if I asked Elena to be another one of my bridesmaids? I know you all hate her, but she's still one of my friends." I say. "It's up to you Emmy. I'm sure we can all get over it for at least one day." She says and we both laugh.

A bunch of heavy stones land on top of us, I look up and see it's not stones, but my brothers. I see Elijah and Finn are being mature, and politely walk over to us. Kol rolls on top of me, and I try pushing him off. "Kol! I'm still..... half- human!" I gasp out. He rolls over and lays between Rebekah and I. Nik is laying to the side of me.

"Are you two gonna join in?" I ask and they all laugh. "No thank you dear sister, I think Finn and I are a little to mature to jump on our seventeen year old sister." Elijah says and I roll my eyes. "Pretty please? I mean, it is the least you could do after ya know, watching Nik kill my fiancé all those years ago, and abandoning me for Tatia, then abandoning me for Sage, then for Katerina, then just flat out leaving me, then for getting mad at me, shall I go on?" I ask then bat my eyelashes and do a puppy dog face.

They groan then walk over to lay down. Finn lays next to Rebekah, and Elijah moves Nik, so he can lay beside me. Thank goodness I have a king sized bed. I look at the door when I hear footsteps, and I see Henrik. He stands there smiling. "It's good to see you all not hating each other, and wanting to kill or dagger one another!" He says and I smile. "Emilin, you are the light in this family!" He says. "By the way, I heard the news. Congratulations sister! Remember in about a month, there is going to be a change!" He says and I nod.

"Emmy, what are you doing?" Kol asks. "Tell our siblings I say hello!" Henrik says then disappears. "Sorry, I was just talking to Henrik." I say and they all look at me. "He says hi!" I say then I close my eyes to go to sleep.
