Chapter twenty-four

"J, I have a question. What about kids? You know vampires can't procreate, and I don't want to tie you down. If you want kids, I want you to be able to have them!" I say crying. "It's okay! I'm going to stay with you, even though we can't have kids. We can always adopt! Can I ask what brought this up?" He says and I smile. "I was just, wondering." I say and he nods.

"Are you wanting kids now?" He asks awkwardly. "Do you?" I ask. "Not really, I kind of want to wait. What about you?" He asks. "I don't know. I want kids at some point, but we're still a young couple and you are barley eighteen." I say and he smiles. "We can wait a couple years. I don't really want kids right now. Because, then we won't be able to have time to ourselves." He says. Well your going to be a dad!

I lay on my bed crying. My door bursts open and Bekah comes running in. "Oh, Emilin!" She says. She lays down next to me, and I lay my head on her chest. "Jermey doesn't want kids right now! How am I supposed to tell him that he's going to be a father?!" I ask the tears coming faster. "I'm sorry Emmy!" She says.

I start feeling a pain in my stomach. I scream and the door jerks open. "What the bloody heck is going on?!" Kol asks.  "The baby's kicking. Henrik told me they aren't pure human. I don't know if there part vampire, or hybrid. Heck, they might even be a witch." I say and they sit down around my bed.

"What about blood? If there a vampire, they'll be starving!" Elijah says. "We can try." I say and they nod. "Should we do vampire or human blood?" Rebekah asks. "Lets start with regular blood." Finn says and they all nod. Nik disappears and is back with a glass with red liquid. "Is this from a blood bag or a person?" I ask. "Don't worry Em, I got it from a blood bag. Well have you drink it, then we can try doing it in an IV." He says and I nod.

Bekah puts her hand on my stomach and smiles. "I can feel a heart beat!" She says and we all smile. I take a sip of the blood, and swallow it away like I do the memories of mother and father forcing me to drink from that girl. "I can feel the heart beat getting faster! The bloods working!" Rebekah says and we all smile. "Can we do that IV now? I think I'm gonna be sick if I drink anymore!" I say and they nod.

Finn and Kol are gone, then back with supplies. They put a needle in my arm, then put the blood on. "Can I have some chocolate ice cream?" I ask and they all laugh. Niks gone then back with a whole tub of it. I start crying and they look at me confused. "You went out and got ice cream for me? Thank you!" I say sobbing. "When a woman is pregnant, her emotions are all over the place."
