Emilin Lean Mikalson Salvatore

Chapter seventeen

I land in the arms of my oldest Salvatore brother. "I'm gonna ask you one time, so you better answer this correctly. Why did I just catch you from mid air off of the balcony?" He asks through gritted teeth. "I wanted to see how well you could catch a girl?" I say with it coming out more like a question.

"Emilin!" Kol yells coming out the front door. I see him in tears, and I see the rest of my siblings following, Salvatore included. "Kol!" I say. He grabs me and hugs me so hard that I can't breathe. "H-human!" I gasp. He lets go then looks at me with a scary look. "Why would you do that?!" He asks me. "You turned on your emotions didn't you?" I ask and he looks at me.  "You would kill yourself just to get my emotions back on?" He asks. I nod and he hugs me. "Thank you for being the best sister possible!" He says crying. I start crying to and hug him.

We walk back into the ball, and it seems our little scene went unnoticed. "Emilin, we need to go to the staircase." Rebekah says and I nod. We walk up and stand in some random spots. I'm standing in between Elijah and Kol. I start twirling my dress while Lijah gives the most boring speech possible. "Emmy!" Rebekah whispers. I look at her and she makes a motion telling me to stop. I laugh then turn back to the crowd. I hear my brothers start to chuckle, and I look out into the crowd.

I see my one true love. The only boy who hasn't either been killed by my brothers, or fled because I'm an original. I smile and he blows me a kiss. "Will everyone please find yourself a partner and join us in the ball room for a dance?" Elijah asks. I see Rebekah go with Lijah, Finn with Mayor Carol Lockwood, Nik chasing down Caroline, and Kol with random lady.

"May I have this dance?" A boy with brown hair asks in front of me. "I thought you'd never ask!" I smile and he grabs my hand. He leads me to the room, and we curtesy to each other. I see Elena with Damon and I smile. I have to lead the dance, due to him not knowing it, but I don't mind. "Again, how do you do all this stuff?" He asks and I laugh. "Years and years, and years, and years of practice." I say and we laugh.

He spins me and I land in Kols arms. "Emmy, were still gonna have a chat later. Why would you try to kill yourself for me, Emilin?" He asks. "Because your my brother, and I'd do anything for family!" I say and he smiles. He twirls me and I land in Niks arms.

"I knew your be in my arms at some point." He says and I role my eyes. "Oh my dearest brother, you are so very cocky!" I say and laugh. "That's my job in this family." "No, that's Kols job." I say and we both laugh. "Then What is my job?" He asks. I look down while thinking, then shoot my head back up to him. "Your job is to be the strong one. Kol is the phaycotic, cocky cerial killer. Finn is the suicidal parent. Rebekah is the girl who loves to easily, but only because she has a misplaced past. Lijah is to be the novel one, the one that makes you at least do a double look over your morals. Then there's you. Your the one that's been put through so much, but your still so strong. You think you need all your hybrid skills, but you don't. Your stronger than anyone already. We both know I don't mean physical strength." I say and he has a tear fall out of one of his eyes.

He twirls me, and I land back in my one loves arms. "Hello Emilin." He says then kisses my cheek. "You seem to have missed." I say and he smiles. He leans down and kisses me square on the lips. We pull apart when there's a- I mean a couple- a lot, of cleared throats behind us. We roll our eyes, and turn to our family's. "It's our dear sisters bed time." Nik says and all my 1000 year old brothers laugh. "Tell your prince goodnight, Emilin." Finn says and I roll my eyes. I turn back to him and we both laugh. "Goodnight Jermey, I'll see you tomorrow." I say and kiss him on the lips. "I love you." He says and I smile. "I love you to!" I say then he walks out with his group. I kiss Damon and Stefan on there cheeks, and they follow shortly after.

"Must you pester all of my friends?" I ask. "Only the ones you date." Kol says and I smile knowing something that will make them sad. "Just don't kill him like you all did Henry." I say and start running away. I use vamp speed to get to my room and close my door. I lock it, but I here something hitting the balcony door. I open it and see my lovely boyfriend. "You might want to leave, before my brothers force you to." I say smiling. "I'm not afraid of them! I just wanted to say 'I love you'!" He says then walks away. I lean against the railing with my head on my hands like they do in movies.
